Possible bug
Folks,
Per the attached screen cap, PS is rendering thumbnails for Leica Monochrom M246 DNG files that appear to have the image repeated twice and crammed into the thumbnail. This make it hard to discern what the frame is.
Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?
Thanks!

Hert,
Your email server rejected the file due to size limits.
I am sending you a Google Drive link via email. Hopefully that will work.
Thanks!

Re: Possible bug
Thank you for the file. I can confirm what you see. The odd thing is that I have other samples of this identical camera here and these don't display this issue. I haven't checked the file itself thoroughly yet, but could it be that there is a firmware update for your camera (could also be that a newer firmware causing this)

Hi Hert,
My firmware is 1.0.1.0, which is the latest firmware. Anything you can do to get this fixed is hugely helpful and much appreciated.
Thank you!

Re: Possible bug
Report issues in Mantis as that is the only source used; See forum rule (5) http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22570
Also, when releases are made or what is in a release is closed information.

Hi Hert,
Not to sound acidic but as a owner of a software company myself, I find your response most interesting. I report a bug that you verify is a bug. When asked for status, you respond with "report issue in Mantis". I thought I did report the issue - to you. Then you say "when releases are made or what is in a release is closed information", a polite way of saying, "Go away, I can't be bothered with your issue." Most interesting. This is the sort of behavior that loses a company customers. Quickly. I know. Have the scars on my back from many years of doing software.
Not to sound reactionary but at this moment, given the lack of comprehensive documentation for PS and your way of running your company insofar as it relates to customers, I am tempted to look for an alternate solution...
Thanks.

Re: Possible bug
Hi Hert. I don't drop by the boards much anymore, but I did see this thread with DetroitPhotog. Maybe it caught my eye because I grew up in Detroit.
You did acknowledge there might be a problem with the Leica DNG files, which is the subject of this thread, on 2/14. This was followed by 3 posts from 2/18 to 3/6 by DetroitPhotog. I found your response on 3/6...interesting:
Best regards.

With respect, may I suggest another way you might have formulated the response?Hert wrote:Report issues in Mantis as that is the only source used; See forum rule (5) viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22570

I think the second way is a little kinder and gentler, and maybe it wouldn't have elicited today's response from DetroitPhotog. If you don't agree with me, then please just disregard this postalternative response wrote:I track issues with PSU with the Mantis system rather than this forum, which is for user-to-user help. Although I'm the developer, I'm here as a user as well. For your convenience, I have entered this issue into Mantis myself, but I'd appreciate it if you'd do so in the future.
I'm constantly tracking and working on issues/bugs with the current release of PSU as well as working on future releases. As such, I'm not in a position to announce when a specific issue will be fixed or what a future release will contain. I hope you understand.
Best regards.
George

Re: Possible bug
Fed up with the long silence on this bug and the issues with documentation, etc., I've decided to move away from PS. I find Mylio to be a superb, modern product with a compelling feature set. Too bad I could not get PS to work for me...
Oh well!
