I imported a batch of images, probably 80-90 photos. I imported them using the 'verify folder' option in the Folder tree. The actual import went without a problem, all images imported to the catalog and thumbnails were built.
My issue/question is when I selected the Catalog State of 'In Last Import' only 5 images were shown. They happen to be all the images that were in ONE of the folders during import. In total the 80-90 photos were in 3 separate folders that were picked up by the importer.
My folder layout is as such.
P-2015\
...P-2015_01_Jan\
........
...P-2015_09_Sep\
...P-2015_10_Oct\
...P-2015_11_Nov\
I imported by selecting the P-2015 folder and using 'Verify Folder'.
The importer then asked two questions, (I'm paraphrasing)
Import photos to Catalog?
Add folders to Catalog?
I accepted both and it imported everything, photos AND folders.
However, only the photos from 09_Sep are listed in the Last Import catalog state. Nothing from Oct nor Nov are listed.
What's probably not a coincidence is that neither Oct nor Nov folders existed in the catalog yet, they were brand new folders (with respect to PS) with photos in them.
Is this expected functionality? I was hoping to use that In Last Import catalog state as part of my workflow for tagging. It's not quite as convenient if I have to track an import manually.

Re: In Last Import State functionality
Robert,
In Last Import ... there is drop down arrow. When you click on it, do you see entries that may correspond to the other photos you imported?

Re: In Last Import State functionality
Wow, How did I not see that... Sorry I'm an idiot.
Yes, my other photos are there, separated into 3 distinct import 'times' for todays date.
That is awesome, found quite a few useful ways to filter in there. Very nice.
Thank you
Robert

FYI, there is also a feature request in Mantis for a new catalog view (By Import Date/Time): http://mantis.idimager.com/view.php?id=2799
