Importing backup fails

Post by vonkske »

Hello,
After reimporting the PhotoSupreme files from the backup, something went wrong.
I must have imported the images twice. The images themselves are not visible (only the filename) until I doubleclick them.
Maybe a look at the attacment can help.
Hope you can help...

Hi Leo, does rebuilding the thumbs (Ctrl-Alt-T on a thumb selection) help?

Thanks for your suggestion Vlad but no it didn't work.

It's strange when I doubleclick on a non-visible Raw or jpg-file, it becomes visible in PhotoSupreme..

Try compacting your thumbnail database.

No results either after compacting.
I then desinstalled PhotoSupreme after making an optimalized backup.
When installing a trial from the website and reimporting the database I got the message that my license was only valuable to version 2.9.
And now the program can't be opened anymore: 'can't connect with database...malformed database..'
It's clear that I messed it up.

Any suggestions?
Kind regards,
Leo

The message that your license is valid until 2.9 means that you're using a V2 license. If you own a V3 license them download it from the User Control Panel. If you only have a V2 license then download the V2 application from the User Control Panel

Cannot login anymore, password is not recognized. (new computer).
I can't find a link to reset my password anymore, it used to be on the control panel.

PhotoSupreme still works on my old computer. I downloaded my license there and copied it to my new computer.
But still the same message: SQLITe_corrupt-malformed database (v_PropCategory) near "recursive" : syntax error

To get a password reset, send an email to support@idimager.com and include your license code

About the malformed message. Are you running the 32 or 64 bit Windows version of PSU?
Have you tried to reinstall the software?

I desinstalled PSu and reïnstalled it.
I get immediately the message 'can't connect with the database'.
Now I can't open it all.

I run the 64 bit version

Since you have a backup, delete your databases from disk and then start PSU. Then restore the databases.

The files are stored in folder %localappdata%\idimager systems, Inc.\catalog

The password I sent you is for the Control Panel (to download your license) and unrelated to the application.

The default application password is master2004

I can't install the program anymore.

(backupped database is on an external HD- my license is already pasted in 'documents' )

The database "not being able to upgrade because you're not logged in" appears when you use a wrong password and a database upgrade is required.
Did you enter the correct database password?

I used my resetted password for downloading my license.(control panel)
During reïnstallation of PhSu I wasn't asked to enter another password.
I didn't see any field where 'master 2004' has to be given in.

Leo
