Re: Feature requests and Bug reporting
In Mantis when reporting an "issue" we now have the choice of 4 types in the drop-down:
[All Projects] Bug
[All Projects] Feature
[All Projects] Photo Supreme
[All Projects] Query
If I want to make a feature request for Photo Supreme, does this go in a Feature or Photo Supreme?

Re: Feature requests and Bug reporting
Hi David,
Best to store a feature request in the "feature" category. The "photo supreme" category is for legacy purposes, as all older tickets are stored in that category.
Thank you
Hert

Hi HJ,
Maybe the emails end up in your spam box? Or maybe your ISP already does spam filtering and then you won't even receive it. Mantis doesn't offer a feature for me to set a password of my choice. All it allows me to do is generate a new random password which will then also be sent by email. Without the email you won't be able to access Mantis.

I don't think you understood what I was trying to say. Mantis doesn't allow me to enter a password for your account. You must receive the email from Mantis but apparently the email is captured by some spam box on your side.
Check your spam box. If it's not there then most likely your ISP already filters emails for you. Maybe use some free email account from one of the bigger vendors like gmail, yahoo, outlook, etc. There too the email may end up in the spam box, but it should arrive.

OK - now I understand but I have no idea what to do next ??
I have intalled PSv2 and converted my catalog using v2. Most things seem to work fine. I tried to import images and got the message box with -- Script Error Unknown member identifier: 'SkipExisting'. Source position: 93,29.
This appears to be a problem in the DNGCopyHandler script. Nothing will import and I am stuck. Is this a known problem ? Help would be appreciated. I got a reply that the problem was fixed but the solution is on Mantis. Catch 22 !!!

Re: Feature requests and Bug reporting
Hi HJ, there was a minor update release that includes that fix. Download the version from the website and install it. That should take care of it.

You don't mention what the same issue is as Geoff's, but I assume that you mean that you can't see the PSU project? Back when Geoff reported the issue was because then people had to be added manually, but now the projects are public and anyone should see it.

Re: Feature requests and Bug reporting
Hert, is it the case that the Mantis by default now filters for v2 tickets? It took me a while to figure out how to see all my older tickets.
I wanted to update this one: Preserve thumbs selection (multiple) when enabling, disabling, or modifying the filter and in doing so I realise that if anybody scans the forum using default settings, they won't see this ticket so I won't get the "+1" that everyone (well, maybe a few people) would want to add as a note.
So, should I open a new ticket for v2? This is something that bugs me every time I'm doing photo selection. So much wasted time, every time I switch filters to include or exclude the less good shots ...

Re: Feature requests and Bug reporting
David, not sure what you mean. There's are indeed new categories but there's no need to re-enter tickets. They all have the same visibility for everyone. Maybe you have a filter active in Mantis?

Re: Feature requests and Bug reporting
When I looked at this yesterday, I discovered I did have a filter active. It's possible that I did it without realising it sometime in the past but I have no recollection of having done so. That's why I asked the question about whether some filter has been activated by default.
Re: Feature requests and Bug reporting
There's no default filter. But Mantis does remember your last filter and even if you revisit weeks later, it will return to your last used filter.

Re: Feature requests and Bug reporting
Fair enough. Then I withdraw my question. And go back to wondering why my request doesn't have lots of +1's. (Likely it's because my workflow is not in tune with what PSu envisages.)
Thanks for the clarification.
