Hi all!
I've been playing with the audio recording feature on my camera (XZ-2) which I thought could be handy for later cataloging...
The .wav file has been imported though during ingestion, so I guess PSU is aware of the file somehow. (ie, I have a pict001.jpg and a pict001.wav in the folder).
But, by default, the .WAV file doesn't show in PSU, and nowhere I can find a way to play this file as an audio commentary.
I can add the .WAV extension as non image file in the preferences, so file is listed in PSU, but it is not "linked" to the picture file.
Is there a trick or shall I file a request for PSU2 ?

Re: managing picture audio recording
Hello,
WAV files are recognized as sidecar files, so they will always travel with your image files in PSU. What do you mean by "not linked"?
There's no play feature for WAV files. In fact I am under the impression that audio recording for photo files was a feature no longer offered by that many modern day cameras. Years ago it was popular among camera vendors but I think that the market wasn't using it that much.

Just a remark: some smartphones start using a combination of photo and audio... ( at least, that's what is advertised in some TV-ad's )

As I wrote, if I set .wav file as non image in PSU preferences, then the wav file appears.IDimager wrote:What do you mean by "not linked"?
But there is no "connection" between the jpg and the wav, and nothing shows that a picture has a .wav sidecar.
Re: managing picture audio recording
That is correct, an audio file that accompanies your image file is not displayed. The files are linked.
