Hello Supreme Users
Can someone explain how to "copy and paste" photos between folders or into a new folder please. Sounds simple enough. I can "copy"and the files are copied to the clipboard or the message tells me but the "paste" option is blocked and Crtl V doesn't work. I tried to search this subject and perhaps its buried in the forum somewhere, but if so, I could not find it.
I was wanting to select photos from a range of folders and place copies of them into a new folder then access this folder/photos externally using another program.
I tried to use the Image Basket thinking I could copy into the basket and then copy out of there but I find it moves the original photo which I do not want and because I want to work on the files it cant be a virtual collection.
As this is for a client and I needed to do this quickly after some time of trying and reading the Help files I realised the only work around was to use IDI V5 as it works beautifully - I keep finding reasons to use IDI V5
Thank you

Copy & paste photos
Re: Copy & paste photos
When in the FOLDERS section you open the folder where you want to paste to and there press Ctrl+V (or right click on the background and select "Paste to this Folder".

Re: Copy & paste photos
Thank you for your reply ... I always feel stupid trying to work out things in Photo Supreme as the instructions are basic to say the least and after trying everything logical, having to ask for help. When in the FOLDERS section you open the folder where you want to paste to and there press Ctrl+V (or right click on the background and select "Paste to this Folder".
I have been working in the FOLDERS section the whole time - Ive just worked out what the "Background" is, but cant see why is "paste" blocked from the right click menu ???
Ive not been able to make Ctrl V work

Re: Copy & paste photos
Reasons for not being able to paste could be:
- you're in offline mode
- the folder's medium is not attached (or maybe you need to relocate??)...is the folder's icon in the Catalog Tree red or yellow?
- the folder doesn't exist on disk
