Today I was up and running after deleting the files in AppData IdImager Photosupreme. I rearranged my catalog (keywording) and when trying to sync all-out-of-sync images the process keeps hanging on 86,4%.
No way to reactivate.Closing and running the same tool again is no solution, ends also at 86,4% and then the program starts hanging again.
Trying to backup: same problem as before: -or the program shuts down
- or when not closing, nothing happens and after a while program starts hanging.(thats new)
Deleting files in the appdata doesn't help.
IdiproV5 still works.
What can be the problem?

Re: syncking freezes / backup doesn't work
I believe Michael (weidmic) told you at some point that he can't select a folder on his NAS. Are you using a NAS drive where you're trying to backup to?
About the keywording; did you clear out all the image details in your catalog labels as suggested by weidmic in your other topic?
Have you considered to start with a new catalog and import your details from the ICS schema in your images as written by V5?

Re: syncking freezes / backup doesn't work
1. No NAS using
2.What is meant by 'clearing out all the details' ? I imported the converted catalog from IDiproV. After that, I cleaned up the catalog: appending other labels onto series of photographs and deleting the former and then I tried to sync (what's stopping around 80%).
3.How do I import my details from the ICS (?) schema ? What are they and where do I find them and how do I import them afterwards?
Thanks

If you're using Image Details inside catalog labels and converted those from V5 then you're going to have major performance issues. Clear (delete) those image details in the properties of the Catalog Labels. Or at least open them and re-apply them.vonkske wrote:2.What is meant by 'clearing out all the details' ?
ICS is IDimager Core Schema. When using IDimager then that is a part of your metadata as written by IDimager and it contains the most important information about your catalog data. In fact you can consider that an extra backup of your catalog information which is stored inside the image itself. You can enable the option to read the ICS schema in the synchronize settings and then read this information to reconstruct your catalog. In fact that is the last fallback option to restore a catalog. You could consider going down that path when your converted catalog leads to problems (as it appear to do in your case). You start with an empty database (trash the old one) and then import the images to the catalog with the ICS setting switched ON. Try it on a small set first.3.How do I import my details from the ICS (?) schema ? What are they and where do I find them and how do I import them afterwards?
PS. If you decide to go this path then don't forget to disable that option again after you've reconstructed your catalog.

Re: Converted V5 database gives performance issues
-When I understand it well, when right clicking on a cataloglabel, I see 'details' in the flyout menu. When that's empty I don't have those details. Am I right?
If that's right, I don't have details in it.
-When trying to make a second catalog, the program shuts down immediately. Same thing as when trying to backup.

On a catalog label, right click.details.metadata settings.apply detail profile
If that is checked, then click Detail Profile and in the details, click Apply. Then click Apply again to store the changed catalog label
