Re: Revert changes to picture?

So in dragging/dropping, I created a version set of 118 pictures. Which is why they all have 26 labels. Is there a way to revert? I know I can destroy the version set, but this wont reset the labels...

Revert changes to picture?

I selected a bunch of photos and dragged them, then dropped them in the same folder. The effect of this is that all of the selected pictures not have all of labels from the entire selection. Each photo now has 26 labels. I have not saved the metadata yet, is there a way to revert this change? I ...

Re: Search Filenames?

Yeah, no real excuse. I know I saw the updates to search in the What's New notes, just never paid much attention because I usually search for things that have categories.

But now... I'll have to make use of it!

Re: Search Filenames?

It works. You know... I feel pretty silly to have never noticed "that" search bar before. I was using the one on the left!

Thanks for that!

There are so many ways to search...

Re: Search Filenames?

@G8DHE: yes, All -> Select a Folder -> click the folder again to get the orange dot -> type word into search box. Then a dropdown appears, but it is only filled with categories/portfolio names, not pictures with the search token in the filename.

@Hert: Wow, that's fast! But it seems to search the ...

Re: Search Filenames?

Hmmm.... I tried the search bar in categories and in folders and it doesn't do anything. I typed in a piece of a filename that is in the current collection and nothing happened. Using all, I see categories and portfolios that match what I type, but no filenames. I expanded the folders section of All ...

Re: Search Filenames?

Ok, so I figured out one way to do it: Filter with a macro command on %filename

Re: Multiple Portfolio Collections with Same Name Lost?

So after removing the multiple 2023 collections, one came back. Again, I'm not sure when it came back, but I now have two 2023 collections in the same portfolio. I created a bunch of new subcollections under one. When I looked at the other one, it had a couple of the same subcollections (only two ...

Re: Multiple Portfolio Collections with Same Name Lost?

Ok, good... so collection names are not the UID, that's what I thought.

The reason I say the collection is unseen is because when I press delete, there are duplicate options that show. I have several (2-4 depending on the specific image) cases of ByDate|2023|20230205 that I can delete from. If I ...

Multiple Portfolio Collections with Same Name Lost?

The story as I understand it:

I have a portfolio called ByDate with subcollections for each year, then by my own date string, so: ByDate/2023/20230205
I also have several other portfolios with subcollections named 2023, some with the same date string, so: Export/2023/20230205
I was on ...

Re: How to rename, replace text strings?

Right, I have one piece that says %Filename. Then I configure that piece to replace text. But the text replace dialog doesn't actually do anything. it doesn't update once I've changed the replacement pieces, and it doesn't change the filename when I click ok on rename.

How to rename, replace text strings?

I've used rename before, but now I am struggling on 4.7.3.4751. I add a part that says FileName and then configure it to have a text replacement. When I press ok on the Replace Text Part dialog box, nothing changes in the example filename and when I press ok to rename, nothing in the filename ...

Re: Rearrange label sets in labels panel?

I see... I didn't realize it was alphabetical because of the "default" sets (they are out of order). I see that the ones I created are in alphabetical order.

I'd like to suggest making the label sets draggable... it would be really handy, with a lot of label sets, to be able to bring the couple I ...
