Hi HCS
A compact/repair database seems to have sorted whatever the problem was. Thanks

Re: Workflow Capture one --> Photosupreme --> Capture one
Anybody who has managed to get a good workflow including Capture one as the raw converter/editor together with Photo Supreme?
I do. It's rather simple for me (PSU v3 and CO8 on a Mac):
1. import images into PSU.
2. select and rate images in PSU.
3. "send" selects to CO8 with external program in ...

Re: Culling Workflow
Andrew,
Another option is a program called FastPictureViewer. I does a great job of letting you view and cull images very quickly. I believe that it's Windows only, though, so if you use a Mac you won't have that option. It's not free but if you take a lot of pictures, it could be worth the ...

Re: Problem with special characters Æ Ø Å when used in mappi
I get this problem with the umlaut sometimes or even the copyright symbol. It mostly seems to affect jpeg images (something to do with the way that the information is written to file?).

Culling Workflow
I wondered if anybody had suggestions about an efficient workflow for reviewing and culling images. Do you delete one by one or tag them and then delete? I don't believe that Photo Supreme doesn't have concept of reject photos like for example Aperture does.

Re: Trying to save an import profile
It's really just an ease of use issue. Now I know to do this manually (I.e. save inside the sandbox) it isn't a major problem.

Re: Trying to save an import profile
Yes, it was user error. However, for the Mac App Store version of Photo Supreme it would be useful to be able to point the app towards saving/loading in the documents folder in the container by default rather than having to navigate there.

Hert
Yes it does, except if I take the default documents folder (if I navigate to it that's OK). My problem is knowing how to load the profile again. I thought it would appear on the profile drop down menu.

Trying to save an import profile
I am having real problems trying to save an import profile. I have a OS X version purchased in the early days of v1 through the Mac App Store, which has steadily been updated to the latest build standard (2.2.5.1044).

I missed that. I am pretty sure that the orange dot disappeared, although I have messed about with the files since and can't be sure.IDimager wrote:Andrew, did you also see the second question where I asked about the orange dot indicator on the thumbnail?

Re: Uneven Syncing of Metadata
Hi
It had not even occurred to me that the metadata that I thought I had applied had in fact not been successfully applied until I send a number of images to be developed in Capture One Pro 7. The images were sent successfully, but I was to surprised to see that some of the images had no or only ...

Re: Uneven Syncing of Metadata
Hi
This is what I did.
I created a new (empty) catalogue database.
I imported images from a card (i.e. not from a folder where other metadata may have been added) with an import preset to add metadata to all images (copyright information, creator information, and image location information since ...

Uneven Syncing of Metadata
I am still trying out PS as a possible alternative to my current DAM solution. It is a bit two steps forward, one step back at the moment, but there is a lot to like about it. However, one thing that is driving me to distraction at the moment is that it seems to sync metadata unevenly.

Re: new user first impressions
Hi, piggy backing on this thread, I think that another thing that would help is either a more complete set of help manuals available on line or more and more detailed video tutorials. I agree with the impression that you need to know how PSU works at a more technical level before you can use it ...
