I changed my iPhone to take HEIC photos. After getting them into PSu, I found that when opened in the embedded viewer (with zoom = "View Image Best), the image did not fill the screen, and showed 100%. This compared with JPGs of the same size which fill the screen and show 61%. To be sure I was comparing like images. I took a picture as JPG, then switched to HEIC and took the same picture. Both are 4032x3024, but they both displayed in PSu as I described. I opened them both in Preview, and when set to full size, they both enlarged and were the same size, as I would expect them to be. Finally, I exported the HEIC file as a JPG and it opened larger like all other JPGs.
I attached a couple of screenshots of the top of the embedded viewer for each photo so you can see what I mean. This is on an iMac with a 27 inch 5K monitor. PSu version 6640.
Does anyone else using HEIC format see this?

Re: HEIC photos smaller than JPG in embedded viewer
When I take a .HEIC file and export it and then save it back as a .jpeg file, and then open it using the embedded viewer (with Zoom set To view Image Best, both the HEIC and JPG open up to the same size zoomed to 100%. Both pictures were the same size, 3024 x 4032.
