Remove Top Level Keywords, e.g. People, Events?

Post by imacken »

I'm trialling Photo Supreme to try and move away from Lightroom.
I imported all the keywords from my LR catalog OK, but am stuck seeing the People/Events/Places etc. categories with nothing in them. Is there a way to delete them?

A warm welcome to the forum.

After import (I assume you used the LR library import feature) it is the goal to move the imported keyword hierarchy (Catalog Labels) to these designated categories. You can select multiple (higher level) catalog labels by selecting each while keeping the Ctrl key pressed then drag them to its Category...people to People, objects to Object, etc

It's worth knowing that those top-level-categories have special properties, so deleting them would be a bad idea. For example, face recognition works for sub-categories under the People top-level-category. You could however change their names to something of equivalent meaning - for example 'objects' to 'items'; 'places' to 'locations', 'people' to 'humans' etc. - if that's what you're used to.
