People Hierarchies

Post by Dismayed »

Is it possible for a person to exist in more than one hierarchy? I'm a member of my parents' family, and I'm a member of my own family that contains my wife and children. How is this best handled in PSU?

In general there's a golden rule in Information Engineering that says: if it's named the same then it is the same. IN other words, never create duplicates for the same. In your case, I think you could use the Relationship feature. here's a short explanation:

Thank you. The relationships seems to work as I had hoped. I noticed, however, that selecting the parent filters all of the 'hard' member tags, but not those that are there due to a relationship. Is there a reason for that limitation?
