MacPro: Can not connect to database

Post by rdv4rjm » 10 Nov 18 1:46

Adding a MacPro as a client to an operational Photo Supreme network.
What I thought would have taken a minute to set up, still doesn't work after hours of trying.

Photo Supreme is installed on another MacPro as a PostgreSql server.

Installed Photo Supreme on a MacPro as client, same way I did other work stations.

All other stations are Windows. This is the first mac set as client.

Made sure I had same server name, database name, user name and password.

I get "Can not connect to database..." message. See attachement.

Has anyone gone through this problem before?
Some help would be most appreciated since more Mac will soon need to be connected to the network.

Thanks in advance.

The message states that the entered server name can not be resolved.
Try to enter the Server’s ip-address instead. Does that work?
