"Apply import detail profile" issue

When importing images the Apply import detail profile option does not appear to work.

I can select the option; can select the profile editor via the button; can select a detail profile in the editor; can edit it and choose OK to exit.

When I go on to complete the import, none of the changes in the editor are reflected in any of the images.

I have been able to do all the following successfully:

Apply catalog labels during the import
Mark ingested folder with state
Apply stacking during import
Apply versioning during import
Create, edit, apply to images, and delete detail profiles from within the Details tab

All images to be imported have pre-existing IPTC information, produced in camera. When using the details tab, this amends this data as expected. I have created multiple import profiles, for different tasks. The issue is the same for all import profiles. These different profiles will have diferring options taken from those listed above. I have been using the Read ICS option as I am recreating a catalog. Changing this makes no difference to the outcome. The issue is still the same if I trigger the import wizard by inserting a card reader in the computer while running Photo Supreme.

I feel that it is likely that my issue relates to a simple option whether in preferences, or elsewhere, but I have been unable to identify such a cause.

Does your Details in the Import Profile have the green indicators turned on for the fields that you'd like to set during import?

Yes it does. Also, where appropriate, red indicators set to clear fields and yellowish to not make changes. I dont use the append to content setting anywhere.

I have now found the solution to the problem. When I entered the detail profile editor, I was choosing a profile from the list at the top of the editor, rather than the one immediately offered in the editor. Editing direct works correctly.
