Hi, I have to ask for some advise. I'm trying to import all my tiff scans and I do so in batches of 500-3000 photos. They are all 48-bit scans and sizes between 100-500 Mb each.
On import I apply some import details on 9 fields and 2 catalog labels. Nothing else is checked. After importing 2-3 batches, there are many fields left blank in the last batch.
Then I have to delete last batch and close PSU and start over. PSU catalog are on a fast NVME drive. My antivirus software have exclusions for database dir and also the one in Appdata. I'm running PSU V7 for Windows, not the server version.
I have tried to switch antivirus software without any luck both with the exclusions. (Bitdefender and Norton 365)
The files are located on an external drive LaCie 2big Dock with 2 x 14Tb disks in a mirrored config. I'm running Windows 10 Pro with i7-5820K CPU 3.30GHz and 32Gb RAM.
The connection between PC and LaCie is USB-C. I attach a screenshot from CrystalDiskMark.

Can mirroring on LaCie be the issue and if so should I change to striped configuration instead?
Please, have anyone a suggestion of what to do?
UPDATE: The imported files itself has been correct updated, but the details in database have not been updated from the import profile except one (Dokument titel from %filename). Catalog labels seems to be ok. I have tried to run out-of-sync tools.
Correct files in PSU : [ external image ]
Problem files in PSU : [ external image ]
Actual files on disk after import, same as the above problem file : [ external image ]
If I try to read metadata from the file Ctrl+Alt+S PSU will not fill the missing fields.
Problems on import
Re: Problems on import
I think I'm having a similar problem with Profiles but via a different method. I'm trying to apply a profile to a number of images already in the database and it rarely works. If I select say 20 images and apply the saved Profile, I might get the data applied to fewer than 5 of the images. It sometimes takes doing it multiple times and individually before I can get it to work. And individually is tedious. Maybe change the name of your thread to include "Profile" or I can start a new thread since it seems to be a fault of Profiles.
Re: Problems on import
If this is a Detail Profile created in an older version (pre V7) then try to recreate the detail profile.

Re: Problems on import
My current profile was created in v7 on Jan 1st for updated copyright info. I tried multiple times to get it to apply to a batch of images and it just doesn't work. I get only a small subset of images each time. I may have to give up using that feature and apply my copyright details in another app.
Re: Problems on import
I just tried it here by applying image details on a larger set of image (223 in my test case) and all got the details applied to them.
How are you applying the details?
And are there versions involved or not? If so, is there a correlation between versions and non-versions that get the details applied?

Re: Problems on import
Usually no versions since I'm applying the profile immediately after adding the Raw images to the database. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but here's what I do:
I don't use the Import function. I copy from card to my folder structure.
I then open PS 7 and verify folder to get images in the database.
I then select all and use the rename function to give my images my naming convention.
I then select all, click Details, choose my profile and click ok.
I then check the images to see if the copyright data was applied and I usually end up with it working on less than half. Sometimes I get partial data.
I then try again...and gain...and gain.
Today I applied the copyright metadata in PhotoMechanic and used Read Metadata from File to see in PS 7.
