parent - child labels and relationships

Post by vkfoto »

After labelling my raw files (CR3) I go back and create various types child JPG files in DXO Different sizes, crops, etc. all with the same base name in their own sub folders.
Is there an easy, quick way to apply the parent labels to the appropriate child? The parents have various combinations of labels.
On a related note, can each parent find its own child images an create a stack or do I have to select them one group at a time?

I tend to use Versions, bring up all the images, select them all and then right click Versions|Selected or rather than previously Selecting them you can use Detection provided the images are arranged to be found depending on your Versioning choices taken in the Preferences|Catalog|Versioning menu.
Once the versions are found then all the labels are replicated across them all and then they are maintained if you make changes to any of them.
I think that Stacking maybe similar, but for me Stacking has a different meaning, whilst Versions to me means the same image processed/modified to produce results.
