I recently started building a new database for a collection of images that I don't want to include in my main catalog.
Instead of importing the files, I used "verify folder - scan for missing files and images".
When the message popped up asking which folders to import, I told it to ignore some of the folders.
But these folders now show up in the database as "strike through":
I cannot right-click and remove them. Why?
Why do they show up at all?
How can I get rid of these folders which I do not need to be part of the database?
Thanks,
Frank
how to get rid of ignored folders?
Re: how to get rid of ignored folders?
Provided you can define the folders, ideally by some common factor, you can add them to the list of "VerificationUserDefaultActionsConfiguration.txt" .
See viewtopic.php?p=129483#p129483 for details of the file.
Then you can "Un-Ignore" the existing ones, then "remove" them, then because they are now "No-Actioned" they won't re-appear !

Re: how to get rid of ignored folders?
Hi Geoff,
thanks, but I must be doing something wrong.
I downloaded the file and put it into my APP DATA folder.
I modified the text file so it reads "x:\...\TLC\Plates\0001 - To Do=1" [not sharing the full path here, but that is one of the directories I wanted PSU to scan again]. Presumably the "=1" suggests to scan it again so I can "Un-ignore" and delete them?
I tried using "=0" too, but that did not work either...
I did this:
Scanning for "Missing Files and Folders" nothing shows up.
Scanning for "Missing Files" 104 files show up as missing.
If I add these 104 files, the folders are still marked as "strike through" and I still cannot delete them. The only difference now the files inside the folders show up.
