how to copy path and filename

Post by snowman1 » 29 Oct 18 22:37

Anyone know of a quick way to copy an image's file path and file name? I can't see anything on the right-click menu? And that field in the info panel is not copyable.
Thanks

This may not be as quick as you would like, but it does work.

Go to the Info panel, create a Custom Field - Add Macro Field. Add the fields you want.

My Macro Text looks like this:

Code: Select all

%FilePath\%FileName
When you want to copy, make sure you choose Select All, then Copy.

Hi,
there is a second way hidden in the context menu, that you can copy the folder and file names of selected files.
In German it's "Starte Skript vom Repository" > "Files System" > "Copy Filename to Clipboard".
As you can see, only the first part of the menu has been translated.
Best regards
Martin

Hi tumirnix
I think that is what Geoff has posted.

That's interesting, in the posting by Geoff (G8DHE) I see (using Firefox) only the word "Image", not the image itself.
So I checked it again with Chrome and there is indeed the screenshot with the opened menu.
Sorry for the confusion
Martin

No worries and thanks for helping, it's what this great forum is all about. Strange about the browsers though - I use FF myself, I have Ghostery and NoScript installed on and other security settings so I sometimes don't see some images etc myself but I can confirm that I did see Geoff's screenshot using FF.
