I don't edit my files in PSu often, and when I do it is usually only for a quick crop. I recently edited a file, and when I saved it, the file was corrupted. The first time I did it, I selected Save Image to overwrite the file (jpg). The result in PSu when I tried to view the file was a postage stamp size white box with the text "invalid size". I tried opening the file in the Mac Finder and got this message: "The file "filename" could not be opened. It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn't recognize." I had to go to my backup to replace the original .
After that I experimented, this time using "Save As Image". What I found is that the save consistently creates a corrupt jpg file when the option "Keep metadata in the file" option is checked. If I uncheck it, the file is good.
As I said, I don't edit often, and I think this may be the first time I've done so since updating to Mojave, so maybe there is a connection there?
Any thoughts on this? I'll submit it to Mantis otherwise.

Re: saving an edited file corrupts it
I just tried this as well.
Altered a jpeg, Saved it to replace the original and after that it was corrupted.
Ran exiftool on ut and got this information.
ExifTool Version Number : 11.20
File Name : _3SA9414.JPG
Directory : /Users/...
File Size : 8.6 MB
File Modification Date/Time : 2019:01:01 18:13:38+01:00
File Access Date/Time : 2019:01:01 18:18:55+01:00
File Inode Change Date/Time : 2019:01:01 18:18:55+01:00
File Permissions : rw-r--r--
Error : First 4.3 MB of file is binary zeros
I then exported a fresh jpeg from Nikon NX-D which I added to PSu, opened via Adjust and used the Save As… instead but the jpeg saved still got corrupt.
This is the output:
ExifTool Version Number : 11.20
File Name : _3SA9414_NXD_PSu_saved.JPG
Directory : /Users/...
File Size : 20 MB
File Modification Date/Time : 2019:01:01 18:26:49+01:00
File Access Date/Time : 2019:01:01 18:26:54+01:00
File Inode Change Date/Time : 2019:01:01 18:26:50+01:00
File Permissions : rw-r--r--
Error : First 10.0 MB of file is binary zeros
It appears that the first 50% of the image just is zeros.

Re: saving an edited file corrupts it
Hert, yes I believe I am: 4.3.2.1826, though Username appears to have a later version, I get "no new updates available" when I check.
Username, thanks for verifying that I'm not alone. I just ran exiftool on my file and I'm seeing the same error: "First 1019 kB of file is binary zeros". That is on a 2046 kB file, so it is the first 50%, same as yours.

Thanks Hert, it works fine now.
