.__iditempori__ files

Hello,

I've found many files with the ending XX.jpg.__iditempori__ in the list of the files, which can't be synched. How came the renaming to this? Did it happened during the many crashes I have?

I have had the same kind of files after a failed ADJUST of a photo. The filename told me which photo it was and I could see the original one was all ok.
This was a long time ago and this is not a problem for me anymore.
Most likely I just deleted these files and (later on) re-did whatever change I wanted to do on the photo

These files are written by PSU when metadata for the file is written. If they are remaining then something definitely went wrong during metadata writing. Could be that there's corrupt metadata in your files, but more common is insufficient disk space to rewrite the file or PSU can't write to the original files (rights?). As Harald mentioned it should be safe to delete the files. Check a your originals as well before deleting them.

The originals are gone and only the xx.jpg.__iditempori__ files are there. I can rename them in the finder, but when I try to reconnect PSu to them they change to xx.jpg.__iditempori__ again.

I've tried it several times now:
- I have the rights to read and write on the NAS-Disk
- it is enough space on the NAS
- I can rename the file to xx.jpg in Finder, but when I want to write the metadata (CMD+S), the red dot doesn't disappear and when I check in the Finder, the filename has changed again to xx.jpg.__iditempori__

I tested the following:
- copy the folder with the xx.jpg.__iditempori__ files to a new hard disk
- delete the .__iditempori after the .jpg
- remap to the folder of the new disk
- synch again with CMD+S
and it worked !
