Hi - I now have most of my photos sorted in date order. I have everything up to and including 2017 on an external drive, and 2018, 2019 and 2020 on my internal drive. Looking good so far - though there will some duplicates to sort out at a later date. I now need to import my Apple Photos library (and then stop using Apple Photos!). Any tips or advice on doing this right, before I get started?
Thanks as always
Rhod

Re: Getting there - now need help with Apple Photos
Hi Rhod, that's great.
Duplicates can be easily identified in States -> Duplicate Files
Why would you need to import the Apple Photos library?

Re: Getting there - now need help with Apple Photos
Hi Hert - I'm wondering if I have misunderstood something fundamental. I have photos which were automatically imported into Apple Photos library. I'd like to have those photos available in PSu - don't I need to import them? Thanks, Rhod
Re: Getting there - now need help with Apple Photos
Hi Rhod, are those images not yet in the PSU Catalog?
If not, and you're planning to stop using Photos completely then I recommend that you take these photos out of the Photo Library and copy or move them to a temporary folder.
Find the original image in Photos by:
1. Open Finder
2. Go to your Pictures folder
3. Right click on the Photo Library.photoslibrary package container
4. Select Show Package Contents
5. Open folder Originals
Here are all the original files. Copy/Move those to a temporary folder
Back in PSU import from that folder.
