How to search with wildcards in Server version (PostgreSQL)?

Post by Tappari » 11 Jun 19 16:32

In the desktop version one can enter *@XMP.Headline in the searchbar and it returns all pictures having non-empty Headline field.
But the same is not happening in the server version - it returns nothing.
(PSu 4.3.4.2141 + PostgreSQL 10.8 )

Is this intended behavior in server version?

To get all images with a headline, you can use the Details section; there, click on the counter

My question was not about the Headline-field, it was just an example. The scoop was on wildcard character *.
So, this works in desktop version: *@XMP.AOCreator - but it is not working on Server version.

PSU uses Free Text Search technologies that come with the database. And every database has their own implementation. I wasn't aware that the * character would behave as a wildcard when no additional text is entered. That is probably due to how the database in the single user (SQLite) works. This is not a PSU feature
