PGADMIN 4

Post by rdv4rjm » 08 May 19 5:42

Hi,
Installing PSU server edition, Windows version.
PgAdmin keeps updating from year to year.
It Seemed simpler to program before.

Postgres 10.7 installed,
PSU server edition installed
Files: pg-hba_conf, and PostgreSQL.conf, configured as stated in instruction manual.
Created database from PSU on localhost.

Accessed database as localhost.
Tried from workstation, using ip address of host: failed.
Tried again on host: succeeded.

Launched PgAdmin
stopped server
Accessed properties: Instead of hostname: "localhost", I input host static ip address.

From here on endless error messages...

Just wondering if a sequential method has ever been written as to how configure PgAdmin.

Thanks

I could have deleted previous post, but it might be useful to someone, some day.
Installation was make upon Windows Server 2019 Desktop Experience, on a VM in Hyper-V 2019.
So far this version is very stable, but when it comes to Postgres, it requires deeper configurations.
I backed out of it and tried Windows 10 on VM in same environment. Installation of PostgreSQL and PSU was a charm.
Within 5 minutes I had everything running locally and from a workstation in Hyper-V.

Thanks.
