PostgreSQL upgrade in place?

Post by gcurrie » 05 Apr 19 2:12

When I first installed PostgreSQL (in order to run PSU Server edition), I chose version 9.6 as that was the latest that PSU worked with.

Now I see version 10 available for some time, and 11 has been released (but PSU doesn't yet work with it).

Is there any way to UPDATE the version of PostgreSQL running and (presumably) the database, so that I can set PSU to use a higher version? Or am I stuck with 9.6?

Your 9.6 version is very much ok and for PSU there's no need to upgrade to Postgresql 10.
