Search for list of images

Post by Stephen » 12 Jan 19 18:08

I have forgotten how this works, but I'm sure this is how I did it in the past.

Using the search field top right I entered the following. I have to use quotation marks because my file names contain hyphens. I seem to remember that using either a comma or semicolon as a separator worked.

Here are just 3 files to save space:
"20150317-193151-3019.jpg" , "20150317-192322-3015.jpg" , "20150315-190836-2656.jpg"

This time PSu takes ages and then returns 25,000 results.

Any clues please?

Solution, while not perfect, this search string helps a lot:

"20150317-193151-3019.jpg" "20150317-192322-3015.jpg" "20150315-190836-2656.jpg"
no comma and no semicolon as separator.

I sometimes have several versions, which are named like this:
"20150317-193151-3019.jpg"
"20150317-193151-3019 1.jpg"

If I search for "20150317-193151-3019.jpg" then the search also returns: "20150317-193151-3019 1.jpg"
but if I search for "20150317-193151-3019 1.jpg" I get nothing.

There might be some logic behind this mathematically, but it's not working on my side. So if searching for long list of files (mine was 700 images) then there is still a lot of manual editing to be done :-(

Did you use the latest V4 build for this?
