Flickr authentication issue

Post by Larry56 » 28 May 18 18:21

I haven't used Flckr for a long time - maybe 6 months or more - but want to try something out. I checked in PSU v4 and it showed my Flickr account authenticated. However when I clicked on Flickr in Share I was taken to Flickr web screen to authorize. I did authorize and the browser screen saied it was successful but received the error below.

Every time I click on Flicker to upload I end up going through the same steps. I've tried deleting existing account and re-entered but that did't help either.

Windows 10, PSU v4.1, Vivaldi web browser

Any suggestions?

Try this,
1. edit your Flickr profile in PSU (right click on the icon->edit)
2. click the authenticate
3. follow the process

That didn't work either.

Here's my steps:
1. RC on Details (no edit option) in Flickr profile
2. Click on Authenticate
3. Message box opens that says "starting web browser to authenticate this application..."
4. Filckr page opens asking for authentication for PSU. I click yes,ok
5. New browser window opens and displays "You've succesfully authenticated the application.
You can now close this page and return to the application to continue..."
6. I go back to PSU and OK on box message from step 3
7. Information pop up shown in my original post displays.

I trust having Vivaldi as my default browser is not an issue.

Any more suggestions?

Hert,
Should I report this on Mantis?

No need for that, could be related to the fact that the entire server was migrated to https recently. Can you try it now?
