Program auto starting

Post by Jas » 29 Apr 18 23:56

Ver 4.0 Photo Supreme was installed but not running. Had to reboot for High Sierra 10.13.4 update. After the reboot and OS start up Photo Supreme started up on its own and showed an available update (4.1). If the option in preferences to "check for updates after start" is checked, does that mean after a program start or a computer start??

To my knowledge PSu do not have any running agents and launchdaemons of its own.

Could it be that the Resume function in macOS is enabled?

Or manually added to startup items under your account setting?

In addition to Username’s reply; the Update check takes place after starting Photo Supreme, not after rebooting.

I'll have to revisit this one as it hasn't happened again. Might be an inadvertent keystroke on my part.

Another reason might be that you have set PSu as the application to be launched when a removable storage is attached.

Could that be the case?
