Post by Phosy » 23 Aug 17 9:36

On two clients, the PSu does not find the libpq.dll file. The connection to the Server-Folder are ok. Installed is the Postgres Vers. 9.3, as on the server. Where do I have to start to look for... Sorry, but the time is running und the people should start to work.

The libpq.dll is on the PC-Client on C:\Program Files\IDimager Products\Photo Supreme PostgreSQL x64. It is an Multi-User PC with Username and Password. There are User-Profiles. Win10, Server 2012R2.

Is the mentioned dll in the installation folder? If not, try to reinstall.

What do you mean with "installation folder"?
I've reinstalled it already a few times...

On an other clients, the libpq.dll is in the same location, as on the two clients, where PSu give this error.

The installation folder; the where you've installed the PSU software to. There where the idimagersu.exe file is. In that same folder you should have the dll also. Is it there?

Could it be that a virus scanner quarantined the dll?

I will investigate further more.

But, if a virus scanner does quarantine a file, the file is not anymore physically present on its place. And the dll is physically on its place, as described above.

So we had hard work to do! It is still a secret, why on some PC's PSu could not establish a connection to the server. But we found a way around!

On these PC's where the 64Bit Version didn't run, we just went back to the 32Bit Version. And see, it is working fine.

I hope it helps for other Users and the developpers of PSu.

Are you sure that it's a 64 bit Windows?

Dear Hert

If you had know how much trouble this issue has caused, you would not have asked such a question? :? I do not say, your software is the problem, my experience with Windows says me, that Windows itself can be the reason, more than not.

As you can see in the attachment, it is a 64 Bit Version!

The most importent thing is, that either the 32 or 64 Bit Version of PSu is running on all your Clients. :D
