Purge Unused Keywords Version 19.8
Purge Unused Keywords Version 19.8
Is there a quick way to purge unused keywords in version 19.8? Or would I have to upgrade. I'm reading an older post for version 2.0 or 3.0.
Thank You for any information,
Thank You,
Bert

Re: Purge Unused Keywords Version 19.8
I wonder if your use of "version 19.8" is as confusing to others as it is to me. Supreme's current version is 3.2.0.2075, so I don't understand what version 19.8 could be.
Re: Purge Unused Keywords Version 19.8
I got this version over the internet in 2013 or abouts. I would have to get the exact version number. [I think the 3.2.0... means 30. 2... but maybe they changed that number.] I will go home and get the exact version number. This is an older version of Photo Supreme. I starts 19.8.

What does that mean? PSu is not freeware...I got this version over the internet in 2013 or abouts.
You can download a Trial from the IDimager website, where you can also buy a key.
No. That is nonsense. Nobody changed the numbers.I think the 3.2.0... means 30. 2... but maybe they changed that number
You can check your exact version number under "Help - About Photo Supreme", look at the build number.

I am having trouble figuring this out, too. Can you post a screenshot of the UI, Bert?
Also, if you remember, is this where you downloaded the application? http://www.idimager.com/WP/?page_id=20 ?
Here is the IDImager Home page. Does this look familiar? http://www.idimager.com/WP/

Re: Purge Unused Keywords Version 19.8
I bought it on sale before school started from Apple Store 9/1/13 version 1.9.2 (4+) and updated it from the Apple Store 11/7/13 to version 1.9.8.175
I missed a period. Sorry. So my version now is 1.9.8.175
Is there a quicker way to purge unused keywords? Sorry for the delay and wrong version number. I didn't have my records with me. I must first have written it down in dim light and missed the ".".

Re: Purge Unused Keywords Version 19.8
I assume you are actually referring to unused catalog labels rather than unused keywords. That's because a keyword by definition can never be unused. To be even more precise, I think you're referring to unassigned catalog labels.
There are two issues potentially at play -- identifying the unassigned catalog labels and then purging them. I know of no way to automatically identify the unassigned catalog labels; I am aware only of being able to review the tree of labels stored in the catalog and noticing the labels that are not assigned to any images. Perhaps there is a script I'm not aware of that will automatically identify the unassigned catalog labels.
Once some unassigned catalog labels are identified, you can select all of them (I don't know the Mac method but the Windows method is to Ctrl+Click) and then press the Delete key.
All of the above is using the latest version of Supreme. My guess is that your version, which is version 1, works the same way. If I'm right, upgrading will be of no help with this particular task.

I do suggest that you upgrade to the latest version of PSu, if you can swing it.

Re: Purge Unused Keywords Version 19.8
Since I am not that strong in computer I can only show you what I found. You download this and can use it to purge unassigned catalog labels all at once? I don't have version 5 yet. So I will keep having to do it one keyword/label by one for now. I want to thank you for helping me with this. It took me two times of viewing the link below to think I could know what it was. Thank You for helping me with kind of a harder question.

Re: Purge Unused Keywords Version 19.8
That script must have been for idimager (v5). Bert, the idimager product* was discontinued and photosupreme is the current product. It is now in version 3.
If you look at the bottom of that web page there is a link to the up to date version for photosupreme (leads here )
If you look on the row headed attachments and click on that you will see a useful screen shot of the script in action.
*idimager is also the name of the company.

Wonderful, so I could use this! Thank You for everyone's help. I kept looking for a "purge unused keywords" type of link in Photo Supreme and could find none. Long standing question. Thank You Very Much,
Bert

This script is an example of what I meant in a post in another thread about general purpose scripts being incorporated into PSu itself.snowman1 wrote:
