metadata and unique information

Post by CAB » 03 Mar 15 1:30

I am looking at Photo-Supreme as a replacement for Extensis Portfolio Stand Alone.
I am a visual artist and in Portfolio I created about a dozen custom fields to track information such as titles, media, dimensions, retail price, framing expense, physical location of work, etc.
I don't use this information to search for images, but rather to attach information to images associated with a given work of art..
I have looked at the custom metadata fields capability of Photo Supreme, and I am wondering if there is any reason I could not create my own custom fields and use them to record the type of information I indicated above?

Yes, that should work.
You can use the PSu custom fields in the same way as other metadata fields:
* display / modify them in the 'Info' panel
* use in searches
* overlay on images
etc.
Problems searching the forum? Try Google Site Search by adding 'site:forum.idimager.com' to a standard Google search.

Yes, I agree with Dirk - that should work perfectly well.
