Can PS ignore dupes

Post by inwellington » 18 Feb 14 7:16

When initially building a catalog from several sources such as CDs, folders on various hard drives, can PS ignore pics with same file names?

Regards, Paul.

Paul,

No, you can't ignore dups and I don't think that ignoring dups based on a file name would be a good idea.

There is a script that allows you to find duplicates; I'll do a search for it and post a link here in a moment

I've found the topic and added that particular script to the repository;

Hope that helps

Thank you very much, Hert.

I'm in the very beginning. Have tried PS out on pic located on my System SSD. I have a couple of HDs and many CDs to deal with. Will be picking up a 4tb drive soon to get them in one place. Then back up with Reflect.

Regards, Paul.
