Automatically assign custom place holder

Post by Mikki » 28 Jun 13 11:35

Hi all.

I’ve searched for an “automated” way to assign a specific (custom) place holder to my raw files without luck.
Maybe I’m overlooking something, so please point me in the right direction… :)

I shoot raw, and convert the files in Canon’s DPP. Then back in PSu I verify the folder and have the jpg assigned the main version place holder. The cr2 files I need to have assigned to a custom place holder. Assigning a place holder manually is not really an option, as the volumes are too big.
Some kind of automated functionality like batch of script would seem appropriate. I just don’t find any.

Kind regards
Mikki

An idea. I don't know whether it works as I haven't tested it (no time, as usual).
Maybe you could remove the relevant Raws from the database, then re-import them, setting the versioning on import so that new versions are assigned to the placeholder you want.
