IDimager 4.2.0.1 is released

Post by Hert » 14 Oct 08 15:09

IDimager 4.2.0.1 is a small maintenance release and has the following additions/improvements over 4.2.0.0:

Fix: Subseconds for Nikon model were not converted to XMP when the XMP is first initialized from the existing Exif values.
Fix: Fixed a bug which prevented copy handler scripts to run in the Downloader
Fix: When the same macro command was used multiple times but with different macro-parameters then only one value would be parsed
Fix: The Options dialog would not display the option categories for some PC-configurations
Fix: The IPTC4XMPExt and PLUS tabs didn't appear on new IDimager installations

Better: The GPS Panel now respects the Theme colors

As with any upgrade it is recommended that you first backup your existing catalog database. You can do that with Tools -> Catalog Manager -> Backup -> Backup to Folder.

Download 4.2.0.1 from the website:
http://www.idimager.com/?page=download

Existing 4.2.0.0 users can use a quick update (unless you need the updated translations). If you are using an earlier version (< 4.2) then you should use the full installation set instead.

To quickly update 4.2.0.0 to 4.2.0.1:

1. Close IDimager
2. Download your version below
3. Copy the downloaded file to your idimager installation folder and overwrite the existing idimager.exe file with the downloaded copy

Pro Desktop: http://www.idimager.com/Trial/Updates/d ... Imager.exe

Pro SQLServer: http://www.idimager.com/Trial/Updates/s ... Imager.exe

Personal: http://www.idimager.com/Trial/Updates/p ... Imager.exe

4. Reapply your license to the newly updated idimager.exe file. See the following thread for assistance:

Hert,

The data/time of the ProSL executable (for 'easy' update) is earlier (12/10 9:58) than the one that came with the 4.2 full install... :?

Edit: and the version is 4.2.0.0. I downloaded the full install and this contains the correct executable (v4.2.0.1).

Dirk,

Somehow the idimager.exe for desktop didn't get copied indeed. This should be fixed now.

Thanks

Hi Hert,
you fixed it. I just checked. I can read everything in the options box now.
Ready to be installed on the main computer.
Cheers,
Frank
