Re: Access Violation (0) when closing full screen preview

No further comments on this bug in this forum or Mantis since a month ago? Yet it still occurs for me. Simple bug - preview > Esc > Access Violation (0) > annoyance. Given mantis #2769 is now closed I have reported this bug as http://mantis.idimager.com/view.php?id=3023. Some subtle differences alth...

Re: Access Violation (0) when closing full screen preview

Is this the bug reported as http://mantis.idimager.com/view.php?id=2769? I see this bug exactly as reported by WIanB in latest PSU but I see that #2769 (reported by Tom) status is "resolved". Not resolved for me. And somewhat different description Mantis - doesn't happen every time I open image in f...

Re: import vs. verify

My feeling too Frank. When I look back at all my filed reports I must've spent many hours over the years that are still open. I don't bother anymore. The product is stable & feature rich enough that it doesn't matter so much.

Re: Changing order of Collections within a Portfolio

ctrl+up and down works for me with Windows 10 Home and latest PSu BUT sometimes the collection being moved jumps by TWO collections instead of one. It is consistent, when moved either up or down over two particular collections, both are jumped together.

Re: PSU overrides mouse scroll settings

Good observation Frank. I'd often wondered about this but never got around to posting online. I'd much prefer PSu used the OS mouse scrolling setting instead of its hard coded 2 lines per scroll. BTW I think you mean 3.2.0.2073

Re: User Interface changes? What do you think?

Personally there are a bunch of issues already in Mantis, large and small, some from ages ago, some more recent, that have never been actioned, but that I would prefer effort be put into. Having spent a lot of time trying to write useful Mantis issues over the years I generally don't bother anymore ...

Re: Remove thumb from portfolio w/o deleting in collection

I may be wrong, but vaguely recall in IDI5 those dialogs had a "Dont show again" style checkbox, hence my confusion relating to that fact that resetting the "don't ask again" menu item had no effect. I tend to agree (although not as strongly) that with 3 or 4 potential options when deleting, it is d...

Re: Remove thumb from portfolio w/o deleting in collection

Tom, Preston, Mike, good and bad news on this topic. The good news - I figured out the problem myself. The bad news - I've wasted your time on trying to figure out a problem that shouldn't have occurred. Have a look at Tools > Preferences > General > Ask for confirmation before deleting images. Yup ...

Re: Remove thumb from portfolio w/o deleting in collection

When you say "main collection" then what you mean is that the image is being removed from the catalog (database) as well as the portfolio collection. Correct. Sorry for not using the right terminology. I just had a look through the "combined" quick start manuals but couldn't see a glossary. Using a...

Re: Remove thumb from portfolio w/o deleting in collection

Thanks Mike & Preston. I haven't seen that dialog for a l.o.n.g time. I'll see if Hert has a less drastic solution, plus by reinstalling I will be removing any evidence of the problem that may be of use to prevent it happening again to me or someone else.

Re: Remove thumb from portfolio w/o deleting in collection

1) I find the described behaviour very strange. FWIW, there is no "Don't Ask Again" option in the Delete dialog. What? So this dialog should always be displayed? 2) Do you have images which are stored both in portfolio collections and in sub-collections? No, all my images are in portfolio sub-colle...

Re: Remove thumb from portfolio w/o deleting in collection

Andrew; when you press Delete on a thumb that then you should get the Delete dialog. Are you seeing that? I am not seeing any Delete dialog when I press Delete in the portfolio sub collection view, even though I have reset "Dont Ask Again" questions. FWIW I am not seeing any Delete dialog when I pr...

Re: Remove thumb from portfolio w/o deleting in collection

Are you saying that when you remove your thumbnail from the portfolio collection that it is also removed from the image basket? In other words, is the "main collection" that you are referring to the image basket? If so, I will try to reproduce that myself and let you know what happens. It will have...

Re: Remove thumb from portfolio w/o deleting in collection

Thanks Tom & Mike for your thoughts, I may not be using correct terminology, or explaining myself clearly, but I still think something is wrong. According to the PSu context menu commands, maybe I should be referring to a "portfolio sub collection" instead of just "portfolio" A quick & simple test: ...
