Re: Opening existing db

Thanks Hert, I'd been receiving notices that a new update in v5 was available but wasn't able to download at that time. I've download and copied the databases to Mac default folder. Supreme opened without incident. I know that Apple doesn't want you to write a database to Documents but considering t...

Re: Opening existing db

Thanks Hert, Yes it told me I needed to use a newer catalog. Under a previous beta I was able to use my v5 catalog and so I assumed I could with this beta. Is there a way to import all Profiles, Portfolios and Label hierarchy? I think when I tried to import from the images under a previous beta I lo...

Re: Opening existing db

I copied my existing catalog to the default location but get an error that the database is too old. Any idea why?

Thanks,
Larry

Re: Opening existing db

Thanks Hert,
Is there any reason I wouldn't want to put under Documents rather under the Library?

Thanks,

Opening existing db

I decided to totally clean up my installations and existing databases by moving to the Trash. I then created a directory in Documents and copied my current Windows IDI catalog and thumb db to the Documents\IDimager catalog directory. I then started v .35 and it opened with an empty catalog. I went t...

Re: IDimager Supreme Public Beta for MacOSX

I'm totally new to Mac terminal commands, but is the "rm -r" line needed? When I type it in I get a no directory found message. Using the "mv" command worked fine as far as I can see so far.

Thanks,
Larry

Location display suggestion

When I click on the "I" (Info) icon to see where the thumbnail points the Location goes way off the screen. It would be nice to have the ability to wrap the location in the Info box.

Just a thought,

Re: Keywords and Catalog labels

Thanks, MikeP

I'll redo the catalog and also try a conversion of my existing.

Keywords and Catalog labels

For testing purposes I ingested some images that I had cataloged in IDI for Windows. I think I made a mistake in that I didn't change a setting to ingest keywords as Catalog Labels (if I read the setting correctly) so the keywords came in as just keywords. I'd like to change the keywords to labels i...

Re: Program colors

Sorry, I didn't mean to say all the text is difficult, only some. Part of the problem may be I have a 13" screen too. Some examples are the number of images under Keywords. As an example I have a Keyword "Fauna" with 67 images. The "Fauna" is fine but the "67" is difficult to see as its a gray/black...

Program colors

I sure would like to see the ability to customize the screen colors. The dark background and gray text makes it difficult to see what I'm doing.

Thanks,
Larry

Re: Adjusting screen

Larry, with the next beta, the minimum size of the application is made smaller so it should better fit your screen resolution Hert Thanks. Installed latest update and the screen is fine. Just one question. The corner to grab for manual resizing is a gray triangle with diagonal lines. Should it be t...

You can see at the bottom the dock icons go into the toolbar.

Re: Adjusting screen

I think it's better but the top of the icons on the dock still go into the toolbar at the bottom of IDI and I can't manually resize the screen.

Thanks,
Larry
