Re: Can't make Versions stick!
It may be that the way in which PSu displays versioned files is confusing/fooling you. If there are versions then the thumbnail shown will have small tabs to the right indicating that this is a versions stack. In most catalog views, including timeline, only one stack is displayed to show all of the ...

Re: Integrity of JPG and DNG files: Any suggestions for managing bitrot?
From this I conclude that Photo Supreme's file verification had missed three files which had been corrupted and could not be opened. It would be useful to understand why they were missed. Is it possible that these three files had been added to the catalog after your last verification of the folder?...

Re: Integrity of JPG and DNG files: Any suggestions for managing bitrot?
If I remember correctly, for any file being verified for the first time by running Verify Folder, a file signature is calculated and stored it in the database. On later uses Verify calculates the file signature and compares with the stored value - if they don't agree "File Changed" is reported. Pres...

Re: Unable to login to forum on Firefox
Jim, you can do that from within FF by right-clicking on the page, click on "view page info", select the security tab and then on the "cookies" button. That shows you all the cookies related to the site and lets you delete them. (You can also get there from the "(i)" button / padlock on the left of...

Re: Unable to login to forum on Firefox
I have also had this problem logging in from Firefox for a couple of days. Deleting all board cookies from the option on the forum screen did not help, but I have finally got back in by deleting all idimager related cookies with a third-party tool.

Re: What method to show added files to the drive ?
I would like it that I go command>'new and amended files since last KW session', view what PSu has spotted is younger since my last KWing, regards modified date, KW it, then close PSu. That would correspond to what is sometimes called watch folders. I am not aware of any facility for that being bui...

Re: What method to show added files to the drive ?
Photo Supreme does not 'watch' folders for new files being added. The best workflow is to use PSu to Import files into the catalog and at the same time to move them into a suitable storage folder. For example, a common workflow is probably to import photographs from cameras or cards (or a holding ar...

Re: Feature requests and Bug reporting
Users new to the forum might find it beneficial to read the first post of this thread. It is not a thread in which to make feature requests and report bugs, it is about how to do these things in the Mantis bug tracking system.

Re: Import profile dialog truncated.
I am also using build 1125 and Windows 10 and do NOT see this. Here the dialog is (just) wide enough to show all of the "Load profile from file..." line. I wonder whether this has something to do with screen resolution and scaling - I am on 2560 x 1440 and 125%. I suggest it should be reported on Ma...

Re: Way to Store Data Other Than XMP?
Amplifying Mke's answer: if the image files are jpeg or tiff, PSu will write metadata as an XMP block within the file itself unless the read-only attribute is set, in which case a separate XMP file is used. If the files are in Canon or Nikon RAW formats then embedded meta writing can be enabled, as ...

Re: "Version Sets Offset Folder": what is it goof for?
It provides two choices for the folder from which the search for versions starts. "Current folder" looks in the same folder as the file selected for version detection, and sub folders (just as v3 did). "Current and sibling folders" also looks in other sub-folders of the parent folder of the folder c...

Re: Best Practice for Version Sets
I am not completely sure, but I think I am right in saying that 'Out of sync' means 'could be out of sync'. PSu does not make a detailed comparison of metadata in XMP and in the catalog, it looks at date and time stamps etc for last changes and checks whether they are the same. If they are not it is...

Re: V4 Pricing
I use a local email client to access my @outlook.com email. I had to use the webmail interface to find the notification which had been placed in junk mail. There is no way to turn this insanity off.
