Re: Catalog state - Stacking

Upload to somewhere on the internet so there is a url, then hit the Img button and enter the url between the [img]and[/img] tags. Alternatively, click the "Upload attachment" tab and upload directly from your computer with no need to first upload it to the Internet. Thanks Mike, I hadn't noticed th...

Re: Catalog state - Stacking

Robert, In the context or jstartin's question, I'd say that stacking does not mean the same thing as versioning. Quite so. Quoting the IDI manual for version 4. "Versioning or Stacking? One question that pops up very often is what makes versioning and stacking different. A very understandable quest...

Re: Compacting database

Thanks all

So easy! But it does show how easy it is for some of us to miss things - instinct told me "Tools".

Catalog state - Stacking

The "By Catalog State" view has items for "Stacked" and "Not stacked". Is there a way of creating stacks in PSU, or is this a redundant item in "States"?

Compacting database

I notice that the "Catalog Maintenance" / "Compacting" link in help leads to a blank page. Can we compact; should we; or does it happen "behind the scenes".

Re: Thumbnails appear in random order and other problems

Having been a long-term IDImager user, I'm evaluating the trial version of Photo Supreme. One of the first problems I find is, when I'm viewing the Catalog "By Folder", when I select a folder, the thumbnails of the images in the folder are displayed completely at random, with no reference to either...

Re: Photo Supreme: Rotate Thumbs

It turns out that creating and running a Batch containing just Quick Rotate Left (or Right  ) does the job that the pop up curly arrows don't. Works here for one raw thumb, or a selection. It shouldn't be necessary, but it works :). That is, unless you have a corresponding .THM in the same fol...

Re: Photo Supreme: Rotate Thumbs

The rotate option of the small tool bar does not work with .NEF raw files either. The workaround is an option. However I want to rotate many thumbs all at once. Any idea how to do that? Thanks, Alfons I wonder if the thumb for any variety of raw file can be rotated? After reporting another apparent...

Re: Photo Supreme: Rotate Thumbs

Alfons, hover the triangle (or the star if already rated) at the right of the file name. A small toolbar is shown just above the file name with the rotate options at the right. Lippe, This doesn't work here for .MRW raw files using 1.0.5.57. Workaround is to launch preview, adjust, rotation, apply,...

Re: Too easy to delete label from catalog?

Geoff/Hert I must have turned off the confirmation then, even though I don't remember doing so! Probably just blundering around on day one of trial. The older I get the more I forget  . At least it was easy to set it back on via a little registry edit. Related observation: the confirmation for...

Too easy to delete label from catalog?

Many operations in Photo Supreme require OKing a confirmation message. Perhaps this should also apply to deleting labels from the catalog by using the "-" button. The button is so prominent, so easy to click by mistake (I'm no longer young and am easily distracted), and potentially so devastating!
