Why is the option "Current and sibling folders" no more available?
I am confused. This option is certainly available and working properly in my installation of 4.3.0.1755.

Re: Set Number of Columns in Label Panel

If you drag the edge of the label assignment panel further out to the left it will eventually switch to three columns automatically.

Re: Mac - Preference tab missing - Description not editable

With build 1721 on Windows 10, 'Preferences' is still available in the 'hamburger' menu for me. If it helps, the shortcut is <Control>+<comma>.

Re: Issues with versioning in 4.1

You could consider initially/temporarily placing all of the files in folders that match PSu's automatic version detection scope. Once you have versioned files you can move all or some to other folders that are neither subs nor siblings. As long as the moving is performed with PSu then it will keep t...

Re: Catalog issues

Photo Supreme is probably more strict about compliance with metadata standards than many other applications. Sometimes files with deviations from the standards can cause problems with import into PSu that other applications "live with". In an ideal world PSu would tell you which files cause a proble...

Re: HTML web galleries?

I'm pretty sure you will be able to find bits of freeware that can take a folder of images and create a page for you, though finding one that does it just the way you like may be harder. It is noticeable, if my quick Google search can be trusted, that there are many web gallery applications out the...

Re: Is moving the order of catalogue labels in the catalogue tree on left of screen possible?

As far as I know it is not possible to change the sort order of labels in the tree. Grouping labels for easy selection can be achieved by making a suitable hierarchy - People/Relations/Families/"FamilyName"/"GivenName" etc, for example. You can also create label sets that can be displayed together i...

Re: Settings - ICS on/off and why?

Some of the things that PSu can do, such as portfolios, are not covered by XMP standards. Writing the ICS schema while syncing to XMP allows the full catalog structure/content to be recovered by importing files into a new catalog without having to rely on a backup. Hert recommends that this setting ...

Re: Is this the same thing?

They are different. Remember that 'Labels' are unique to PSu and are stored in the catalog. They are always hierarchical. 'Keywords' are written into the XMP and are compliant with appropriate standards. 'Also assign its parents' controls whether all of the higher 'nodes' in the hierarchy of an assi...

Re: Number Sequencing Problem

Exactly what you are asking is not completely clear to me. Do you really mean "Photo Supreme has created the following folder structure..." or is it the file names that are in question? Are the file names unaltered from what you imported, or did you use a renaming rule? It would help forum members g...

Look into preferences:

You probably want the third option, but I have only a single monitor so can't use it myself.

Re: Can't make Versions stick!

It may be that the way in which PSu displays versioned files is confusing/fooling you. If there are versions then the thumbnail shown will have small tabs to the right indicating that this is a versions stack. In most catalog views, including timeline, only one stack is displayed to show all of the ...

Re: Integrity of JPG and DNG files: Any suggestions for managing bitrot?

From this I conclude that Photo Supreme's file verification had missed three files which had been corrupted and could not be opened. It would be useful to understand why they were missed. Is it possible that these three files had been added to the catalog after your last verification of the folder?...

Re: Integrity of JPG and DNG files: Any suggestions for managing bitrot?

If I remember correctly, for any file being verified for the first time by running Verify Folder, a file signature is calculated and stored it in the database. On later uses Verify calculates the file signature and compares with the stored value - if they don't agree "File Changed" is reported. Pres...

Re: Unable to login to forum on Firefox

Jim, you can do that from within FF by right-clicking on the page, click on "view page info", select the security tab and then on the "cookies" button. That shows you all the cookies related to the site and lets you delete them. (You can also get there from the "(i)" button / padlock on the left of...
