Re: V3: After refreshing folder, switches to catalog view

Yes, what you're seeing is a new tab being created. The original view is still there, under its own tab. I was confused by this at first as well, until I realised what was going on...

Re: Preannouncement: Photo Supreme V3

Mike, yep you're right about "switch" or "switching". It depends how the sentence is parsed. I read it with both sub-clauses as one, but if you put in commas to separate the second sub-clause, it becomes clear that "switching" is indeed correct... Sorry, Hert.

Re: Delete file from light table?

Tom, I'm with Stubb on this. I also use the light table to both compare AND cull my pictures. Whilst I've probably already culled the obvious failures in a first pass using your method, on the second pass I'm working with the light table to select my keepers...

Software for Rights Test

The standards organisation IPTC has tested commonly available software to find out how effective different tools are in writing, editing and reading rights data in an image.

PSU comes out well in the test.

Re: Migrating Aperture library to PSU

Cough - I'm just putting on my pedant's hat here for a moment, and take slight exception to Hert's statement that today's industry standard for hierarchal keywords is the Lightroom standard. I will accept that it is the de facto standard (i.e. widely used) for hierarchical keywords, but it can't cla...

Re: QUESTION: what is your nr1 reason to use Photo Supreme

It's PSU's ease of keywording and solid support of metadata for me.

Re: Do You Use PSU With Lightroom and DNG Files?

An Adobe employee has now confirmed that this is a bug in LR5, and it has been reported to the engineering team (presumably for fixing).

Re: question about the OOS indicator

Hert - oops, sorry, I only noticed the first link in Frank's message. However, and this is very odd; I can't see my own ticket (0001976) in Mantis! The first listing page of all issues goes from 0001956 to 0002010 - and is missing 0001976...

Actually Hert, I *think* the issue where the difference between the two commonly held meanings of "auto-sync" was clarified was issue 0001976 - which seems to have now vanished from Mantis...

Re: ps v2 import from galaxy s4 connected to pc

I don't think so. There may be some hack out there, but that's something I don't particularly want to do. I find it interesting that Lightroom shows it as an import device without trouble. There's clearly some way in which it can be handled, but for the moment, I've resigned myself to manual importi...

Re: ps v2 import from galaxy s4 connected to pc

This sounds suspiciously similar to the behaviour of PSU with Windows Phone 8 devices. See Mantis issue 0001917

Re: Do You Use PSU With Lightroom and DNG Files?

In step (4), do you mean that you imported it into LR? If so, then that is not an issue. Imports work fine. The issue is that once the images are in LR's Catalog, then LR5 is VERY slow (like, hours) at picking up on external changes to metadata in DNG files. And in step (5), I assume that you had LR...
