Re: [resolved] Backup problems PostgreSQL 10

Hello

It was a problem I ran into which was caused by a bug in PSu way of using pg_dump I believe.
Hert fixed it in build 1901.

I did not have to do anything else other then upgrade the client side of PSu Postgres version and initiate a backup.
That ran perfect.

Re: this place can't load Google maps...?

So what are the actual options? - Everyone becoming a “developer”!with Google and checkout a api key and hope google to demands passports etc. - IDImager becomes a google developer, absorbs the cost and increases the price for the product. - IDImager becomes a google developer and payup what’s neede...

Re: Tiny PSu system font size in v4

When defining font size on Mac client I’ve found that a fixed size, let’s say 9, is rendered with different size on retina screens va non-retina ones.
So I dropped the size definition so my custom thumb info looks the same on my EIZOs as they do on my retina MBP.

Re: Updating category labels between catalogs possible?

This is great!
Thanks Hert.
Got to do this ASAP when I get back home.

Perfect for testing and workflow refinement without touching the production DB.

Re: Thumbnails disappear on Mac

Hello Brent

Are you running the single user version?
Which version/build are you on? 1910 was just released.
I’m on 10.14 on the MBP and 10.13 on my Mac mini and I’ve not seen anything like this.

Anything in the system logs regarding idimager?

[resolved] Backup problems PostgreSQL 10

I've run into problems backing up my Postgres 10 DB.
It appears that I have problems with PSu Server builds newer then 1723. I can not get any of them to create a backup properly.
All earlier pg builds works perfect.
Both backing up and restoring properly.

I've filed a mantis for this.

Naming convention scanned film

As I managed to get my hands on a Minolta Scan Elite 5400 II mint in box for $20 (yes twenty) I've begun scanning some of my old and new film. But soon I ran into the naming convention problems. I'm not sure how I should name the scanned images to best suite PSu and my setup and versioning. Today I'...

Postgres11 - thoughts?

Postgres11 have been out for a couple of months and I wonder if there's any benefit for Photo Supreme with it?

Not yet tested?
Any plans?
No hurry to migrate?

Re: Photo Supreme star ratings in DxO Optics Pro

Photo software should store ratings in industry standard ways and not use their own invented proprietary ways. That is what standards are for. Writing their proprietary editing parameters to a proprietary format is one thing, but writing industry standard fields in proprietary formats is a major no...

Re: Photo Supreme star ratings in DxO Optics Pro

Bumping this again. I really would like to see PSu to parse the .dop for Star rating/Rank and Pick/Reject so one could simply do a rating update of files again and have PSu to pick up the tagging. With an option to keep or update PSus rating if it differs from the imported one. ProcessingStatus = Ra...

Re: Extracting or generating previews and versions?

Yes. My idea was to keep the untouched NEF-embedded jpegs for previews. Perhaps with an option under Catalog Settings / Image preview size (pixels) "Native embedded" And even add an option for PSu to extract the jpegs from the NEFs and store them side by side in the NEF dir while importing them. To ...

Extracting or generating previews and versions?

I played around with some bash scripting for exiftool extracting the internal jpeg from the Nikon nef raws. They contain that really nice grain the Nikon engine produce and felt that I actually would like to keep them as a version for email or quick compressed full size jpeg. And perhaps even as pre...

Re: saving an edited file corrupts it

I just tried this as well. Altered a jpeg, Saved it to replace the original and after that it was corrupted. Ran exiftool on ut and got this information. ExifTool Version Number : 11.20 File Name : _3SA9414.JPG Directory : /Users/... File Size : 8.6 MB File Modification Date/Time : 2019:01:01 18:13:...
