Someone here using PSU with Canon DPP 4?
Hi,
I have the problem that the image transfer to DPP only works if DPP is not running. If DPP is started, no transferred image is displayed.

Re: Automatic reading of changes in XMP files?
Yes, it is about files that are stored locally on an external disk. To notice these changes - does PSU have to run if another program changes something or should it not matter? I'm running PSU Server Version (PostgreSQL) and so far PSU sees no changes. I will test later what it looks like when PSU i...

Automatic reading of changes in XMP files?
Hi,
is there a possibility that PSU automatically reads changes made in the XMP files by other software into the database?

Re: How to set Metadata flag as "synced" without read/ write?
With DAM, the truth is in the catalog, not the file system (as explained in The DAM Book). Where the truth lies only I can know. Now everything is fine, I have solved it "differently". But it doesn’t take an hour to update the copyright for 5k file’s that are already fully imported in the database,...

Re: How to set Metadata flag as "synced" without read/ write?
Why are you convinced that PSU knows everything that it needs to know? And then why are they not in-sync in PSU already? And why not read or write out of sync images to set them as in-sync? Now in this spezial case: I have imported ~5000 new photos into PSU, then I saw my copyright notice was not c...

How to set Metadata flag as "synced" without read/ write?
Hi,
how can I tell PSU that all metadata on the disk and in the database is synchronous? In this case, I don't want PSU to read something from the disk or write it to the disk. It's just supposed to make the entry in the database that everything's fine.

Re: GPS Country Codes
These codes are also automatically assigned if you configured PSu to auto-generate labels by reverse Geo-lookup. And in that case three-letter codes are being assigned, which is likely the source of Mike Naylor's annoyance. Can not confirm until now. But I have last import of the pictures was still...

Re: GPS Country Codes
PSU comes with some countries in Places category. For me, I have extended it to the countries that I have visited or want to visit. Then I set the settings for each country as in the screenshots (here a example for Gemany) 01-03-_2018_19-17-14.png 01-03-_2018_19-17-53.png 01-03-_2018_19-18-08.png Ro...
