Re: moving RAWs to subfolder on download

Alright, I've been trying this for an hour and I obviously dont understand macro syntax! I'm trying to do the exact same thing that Rick is doing: move my RAW folders to a different folder than my jpg's when I download. Ideally, I would like them to go to a separate drive, but I dont think this is p...

Re: Audio Recordings

I see... thanks for the information!

Yeah, I was planning on using MP3. I could get away with FLAC. It would be very nice to have IDImager recognize regardless of the audio format.

Audio Recordings

I have a bunch (~500) of old family pictures that I have scanned. I sat down with my grandmother and we discussed the pictures. I recorded the conversation (I said the filename of each picture as I changed it so I would have a marker in the audio file). Is there any way to associate pictures with an...

Re: restore ALL Settings

Here are two other threads asking the same thing: http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=7931 http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=8400 One of the main reasons I have not reinstalled XP in a while is because I still (after creating one of the threads above) do not have a comfortabl...

Re: Uploading to Flickr, different keywords

I agree with the personal contact information, but also see where some people may want to include it. My overall request is for greater customization in choosing what metadata gets uploaded during a transfer operation. For me, since I never put contact information in my photos, that isnt a problem. ...

Re: Uploading to Flickr, different keywords

@davidg: yes, retaining metadata when putting pictures online is certainly handy... but it also is handy for those trying to find out about you. I know this makes me sound old and unwilling to change, and I also know that my information is already out there in various forms, but I'm trying to reduce...

Re: Uploading to Flickr, different keywords

Hmmmm... yeah, I thought about that. I suppose I could do that, but then if I go to export for other reasons (say to give pictures to a family member) those tags wouldn't follow, correct? I realize I'm being picky here and maybe there isn't a slick, quick way of doing it. If all else fails I could m...

Uploading to Flickr, different keywords

Hello, I just signed up for a Flickr account and am impressed with the integration with IDI (actaully, that''s the reason I got the account!). But I have a question... What would be the best way to upload photos while stripping them of "sensitive" keywords, but leaving the keywords on the original f...

Re: Parameter incorrect, error

Beautiful suggestion! I didn't follow it exactly... I deleted the workspace I had just created (that gave the error) and then set the active workspace to another workspace. I would still think this error should be corrected in the software. But, at least for me, this workaround is acceptable for now...

Parameter incorrect, error

I just changed my workspace setup and squashed the folder pane all the way to the left to get it out of the way (when I change folders I'll just slide it back out, then slide it back to nothing again). But now, when I try to start IDimager, I get the following dialog box a bunch of times, then the p...

Export to EXIF GUI bug

I was playing around with the export EXIF feature tonight and stumbled on a bug in the GUI. 1. Highlight a picture 2. Right click, select export EXIF to file 3. Double click on the title bar of the export GUI so the GUI goes fullscreen 4. Double click on the title bar again to set the GUI back to no...

Re: Backup All: catalog, settings, schema, etc

Thanks for the info. I was hoping there was a little more elegant a solution, but that definitely helps. So if I do the following I will catch everything? * catalog backup * Custom Schema (from http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=430) * themes (stored in subdir of the program directory) * ...

Backup All: catalog, settings, schema, etc

This is a great/amazing product and I'd like to thank Hert for putting so much effort into it! As a new user of IDI I have a question about backing up my data. If I do a catalog backup will that back EVERYTHING up? Meaning that if I reinstall Windows and reimport that backup IDI will require no furt...
