Re: Sidecar Files

My concern is just with moving the sidecar files as I move the image files into different folders via PS3. Up until now, I've always moved my .cr2 files before editing so the sidecars did not need to be moved. I looked at the file extension setting, but came to a similar conclusion. I know IDI5 had ...

Import

is there a way to delete files from the disk while culling them in the importer? My actual dilemma is that while culling I often want to remove an image from the viewer so I don't have to keep going back over it. Some images are obvious deletes. I pressed delete and the dialog came up about deleting...

Sidecar Files

Is there a way to get PSU to recognize different types of sidecar files. I use Aftershot Pro and noticed that moving images between drives left the AfterShot xmp files on the source drive. I looked in settings but did not see anything that seemed to allow me to set the extensions for sidecar files.

Re: Error on Compact

Well, I got everything up and running. I followed the advice in this thread (http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12162#p66410). After this I was able to vacuum the database using SQLite tools and perform the integrity check successfully. Tonight I tried using SQLite Expert Personal to open...

Re: Error on Compact

Ok, So I ran chkdsk and it found some problems with the file and fixed them. I can now copy the file to another drive (something I could not do without a disk error in Windows before). But I get a "database image is malformed" error in PS when I try to compact it. What does this error mean? Edit: I ...

Re: Error on Compact

Both drives have at least 5GB and I'm not seeing the temp database file created at all.

Error on Compact

I am trying to compact my catalog database but PhotoSupreme v3.0.3.2066 (64bit) keeps giving errors. So far I've seen "cannot rollback - no transaction active (0)" and "disk I/O error." I've looked and both the drive the database is on and the C drive have more freespace than the catalog size (catal...

Import with labels

I'm in the importer, looking at a bunch of files I am importing. I assign labels for each file. But after the import, all of the images have no labels assigned. Can someone correct my thinking (or process)? I would have thought that the labels would be applied after/during import.

Re: Should PersonInImage be written to all versions?

Isnt this similar to the "areas tags in versions" issue brought up recently (http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php ... as+version) ? Wouldnt it depend on how the version was cropped, which means PSU would have to guess?

Re: Warinng: Image not available or medium not loaded

I too saw this... I verified the files existed. Its also interesting because sometimes the files preview fine (double-click on thumbnail), then I'll try another file and come back and the file that previously worked gives the error again.

Re: Thumbnail Database Compact: Disk Full

So I followed your suggestion, thanks. There is a folder underneath whatever path the OS has set as temp, called IDImager. This folder is used to store the campacting data. Does this page suggest the calling program can override this behavior? http://www.sqlite.org/c3ref/temp_directory.html Anyway, ...

Thumbnail Database Compact: Disk Full

I was compacting my 18GB database file and an error popped up saying the disk was full. I happened to notice that my C drive was at 1.2GB free when this occurred. After I stopped the compacting, I noticed drive C was at 7GB free. My database file is on drive E, which has 58GB free... is the compact ...

Object Model documentation for scripting

Is there any file that has a layout of the object model for use with scripting? For IDI I had an IDImager.chm that had the object model in it. I assume this has changed for PS?

Thanks for that... now that I saw the shortcut, I remember that's what it was before. I'll have to keep that list handy!

Update Thumbnail?

Is there an easy way to update the thumbnail of a picture? I edited a version, replaced the file in the folder, and synchronized the metadata, but the thumbnail is still showing as the previous edit. IdImager used to have a way to update the thumbnail by right clicking on the thumbnail metadata sect...
