Re: GEO locations in multiple labels

I've just discovered the globe icon button in the Image Details profile -> Image Content -> Location! (I feel like I keep finding Easter Eggs in PSU :)) That makes it easier to summarize my main suggestion: it would be very natural and useful to have the globe icon button directly available in the G...

Re: Tips for working with Photo Supreme

Did you know that the globe icon inside image details -> Image Content -> Location is a button and you can press it to open the GEO Tagging panel? This works for an image thumb selection, as well as for label and import profiles.

Re: Olive buttons ("Don't make changes") not honored?

Thanks - I've reported the bug in Mantis. Not sure if it's worth a separate ticket, but I found that clearing a field is not that easy. (I think I need to press space or click in a certain spot or do something else before pressing Ok for the profile to take the empty value in account, it took me a c...

Olive buttons ("Don't make changes") not honored?

I have a place label for the city Krakow and the GPS lookup for the label returned some coordinates. If I do a reverse lookup for those coordinates, the offered profile fills the location fields with some street name ("Pawia 3") that I would like to ignore. (Basically, I am thinking to define only t...

Stale information inside Catalog -> By Image Details?

I have noticed that the GPS and the location info available in Catalog -> By Image Details is completely wrong in my case. For example, I have only two coordinates listed under Technical -> GPS Latitude and GPS Longitude, respectively, for a total of 5 geotagged images. However, I geotagged almost 2...

Re: Copy and paste Keywords

I am going to buy from the App Store, looks like there is no problem with the difference in functionality with the two versions? Johann Snyman. Hi Johann, I'm not an Apple user but I noticed that Hert previously compared the benefits of the two versions, you may want to review them: http://forum.id...

Re: Copy and paste Keywords

I also added the copy-paste procedure to the "Tips for working with PSU" thread, which contains other useful tips as well:

Re: Tips for working with Photo Supreme

Did you know that you can copy all the labels from an image to another image? Select one or more images. In the assignment panel (Ctrl/Cmd-L) the top area shows the assigned labels. Click on the background with the right mouse button, select copy to clipboard, then select the other image(s) and past...

Re: GEO locations in multiple labels

Does this policy have any implications for which label profile is eventually applied? If I have multiple catalog labels with different profiles associated to them (created by reverse GEO lookup), will the profile for the smalles radius label always get applied (last) or not necessarily? The label m...

Re: GEO locations in multiple labels

Hello Hert, When an image has multiple catalog labels assigned, and more than 1 image has GPS attached to it then the most precise one (the smallest radius) is written to the file. Does this policy have any implications for which label profile is eventually applied? If I have multiple catalog labels...

Re: Searches for keywords (rather than labels)

Hert There is far more information in yout last post than I had been able to work out by trial. Fantastic stuff, and worthy of inclusion in a "Quick Manual". I know that simplicity is part of your goal for PSU, and I agree with that. But I wonder whether there would be enough user interest in an "A...

Re: Labels and Photoshop

Hello Jimmy, You did not answer the question regarding the settings in Preferences\Synchronize. That may be important to explain what's going on. As a work around can I copy and paste several labels from one image to another if so how. I didn't know this either, but I found the answer searching the ...

Re: Searches for keywords (rather than labels)

"fortified" (without quotes) returns all images with "fortified church" as a keyword. Searching for "fortif" does not return any image, however. Is this by design or a bug? That is a bug, which was found and fixed a few days ago. Until then, add the asterisk character to do partial searches Thanks ...

Re: Filtering by label displays images of unexpected type

Thanks for the explanations - they are helpful, but I still believe there is an incorrect behavior or some misunderstanding from my part. Searches with versions follow different rules. That is because sometimes versions are included and sometimes they're not. For instance; when opening a catalog lab...

Searches for keywords (rather than labels)

Before I'm submitting a Mantis ticket, I thought I should ask: is there a special reason that keywords are missing from Catalog -> By Image Details -> Descriptions? I would find it very useful to browse keywords there and use them in searches! The good news is that Search Bar is really powerful - an...
