Re: Confusion about Proper IDi Backups

For instance; you have a catalog on the PC named "intheflow". On your first installation of IDI on the laptop you kept it default and logged in to "idimager" database. Then in the "idimager" session you restore the "intheflow" backup then the names won't match and the thumbs and catalog files will ...

Re: Confusion about Proper IDi Backups

As an update on this, I used the restore from folder feature to get where I can work on the database from the laptop. I have to run the restore twice before it works 'properly'. The first restore brings over the catalog & exits IDi. When I go back in there are no thumbs and if I look at the thumbs d...

Re: Easy Questions...

Thanks for the help! :D It turns out that it does show them as out of sync once the change was made. Maybe it didn't show until I logged back into IDi or maybe I just got confused before. I also found out that if you click just one image of a stack and then use [Ctrl] + [g], it adds the new i...

Easy Questions...

I hope anyway. How do I add an image(s) to a pre-existing stack? When renaming a catalog label under catalog management (or anywhere else, for that matter)...Does IDi also change it in the metadata for each image as well, or in the catalog only? When I do a label change like that and then sea...

Confusion about Proper IDi Backups

I know this topic has been covered multiple times as I've just completed doing a search on it. So far, I found this thread to be the most helpful. However, I'm confused because I've seen different answers to the same basic question of: "How do I backup >everything< related to the way we work with ID...

Re: how to modify conditions of a stored group?

I'm wondering this myself. So far I've only been able to 'change' one by recreating it and saving it as the same name, thus overwriting the existing one.

Re: What will be added in Version 5?

@Frank: Thank you for your contribution to this thread! I like some of the suggestions...& have some comments. 2) Auto-Sync (= get rid of the sync button and long hours waiting): I like Lippe's suggestion about it running in the background using idle cycles. 4) Better and faster Catalog-Reorganizati...

Re: Understanding Portfolios, Collections, etc.

I do recall hearing about a way to order pictures in a certain way. However, I'm pretty new to the program and don't know enough about that feature to elaborate. Hopefully someone that knows will chime in. :)

Re: How do you quickly categorize your images?

Hello All, I've just uploaded version 1.1 of the new Catalog Label Panel. Hope you'll like the changes. Hert Hey Hert, This is a really great tool! It works much better now than when you first released it. It has greatly simplified tagging images for me, thank you :!: VERY :!: much! I've been using...

If not, you can change the default search order in tools > options > general > basic tab : 'default search order'

Re: How do you quickly categorize your images?

As an update to this, I installed new version, I was not asked to over write the old one and have 2 versions available to me now. Old name is 'Catalog Label Panel.psi' and new one is 'Catalog_Label_Panel.psi'. Paul At this point it probably doesn't matter but I just wanted to point out that the '_'...

Re: How do you quickly categorize your images?

I've just downloaded latest IDIPro V 4.2.0.5. Does this include the latest version of the Catalog Label Panel or do I have to install it. No, it does not. You'll need to install it separately. I'm surprised that the file you d/led isn't a .psi file. I got it yesterday from the script repository sit...
