Re: Write Portfolio info to images

Did I miss the release of this fix ? The current build is .2060 which I'm pretty sure was the version I was using when I started this thread. I wonder if Hert could give an idea of when this fix will be released ? See http://www.idimager.com/WP/?page_id=1374 for latest improvements and fixes. The b...

Re: Converting RAW to DNG

Yes. I'm very new with DNG. Do you think it doesn't make sense? When I started using DNG a couple of years ago I imported both in IDI (using the same script as you do), but after a while I realised that I only used the DNG to work on. Now I *do* keep the NEFs but in a separate location, using the m...

Re: Converting RAW to DNG

ssahm wrote:Maybe I did something wrong, but with the DNG converter script that comes with PSU there are only two files (DNG und JPG) of one picture downloaded/converted to the harddisk.
So you want to keep DNG, JPG *and* NEF?

Re: Converting RAW to DNG

Hi, in IDI I used the DNGImportScript and assigned the DNG to my customized version placeholder "DNG". I I coud not make the old script run with PSU. Any suggestions? Regards stevy1st Did you modify the script yourself? It's highly likely that the old script is not compatible with PSU. You may have...

Re: File Name Conventions, xmp files, and raw files

You can make very complex naming rules if you want with inline scripting / code snippets. I still use %yyyy%mm%dd-%hh%nn%ss%coderesult := iif('%exif:model'='E995', '','%zzz{right=2}');%/code.%FileExtension To make some slight changes for pics from my E995. A more complex one from mikep: %code if (An...

Re: Error Message: "Only array types can contain array eleme

Just to clarify the reference to Mantis, does this need to be moved there? I figured the problem was some random issue with my metadata rather than a software bug, but happy to move it. Could be a bug, but could also be that a program wrote data incorrectly. PSU could be improved to catch / correct...

No, that's not necessary if you're using 'Save metadata to file' (<control-s>).

Re: Opening RAW in Lightroom 5

Does this mean you can't open (find) files in Ligthroom by selecting them in Photo Supreme and applying the Lightroom File Accessor.bat? Like just appeared succesful in Windows. On a Mac the .bat file doesn't work. Somebody has to build that bit for the Mac. It shouldn't be too hard, but that's eas...

The plugin has been tested on both mac / windows.
For Windows he provides the 'sendto with batches' mechanism to get the files from the operating system to the plugin.
For Mac this part is missing.

Re: Opening RAW in Lightroom 5

Edit: Just searched,... it appears that a guy by the name of Rob Cole has developed a File Listener plugin for LR/Windows. It will open files ready for editing in LR, whether new to LR or pre-existing. Seems it can be done. Interesting. Added plugin to LR5, then added 'Lightroom File Accessor.bat' ...

Yes, seems to part of the PSU installation. You can find that one in the program directory (subdirectory Resources\Scripts\FilterScripts to be precise).

Re: Keeping track of external edits

On looking further I see that the ACR metadata includes crs:HasCrop which I would certainly use (in addition to crs:HasSettings) as an input to my custom thumbnail info line if it were available. I have therefore created a Mantis ticket #2707 for the request to make these available. AFAIK all field...

Re: Problem with special characters Æ Ø Å when used in mappi

Update; just read your other post from today and I see that you mention Aperture. Aperture writes special characters in a encoding scheme that is not standard and I have still no idea what encoding they use. I never understood why Apple decided on this non-standard encoding as there are standard en...

Re: File Name Conventions, xmp files, and raw files

In addition to the above: to get filename / folder name in a (custom) field you can right click and in the menu goto 'Image' (top entry).
From there you can select one of the file macros. 'File Path' gives the full path (drive + subfolder) of the image.

IIRC you get a 'never ask again' option, so if it does not happen a reset of the 'do not ask again' questions (Help menu) should activate it again.
