It seems that Rob Cole's site is off-line (he's the writer of this and other LR utilities).PhilBurton wrote:I could not find this utility with a Google search. Can you post a URL.

Re: File Listener with Supreme, Lightroom CC & Windows 10
Running the same combo, but I see the same problem as Mike...weidmic wrote:I use the file listener with W10 64bit and LRCC and don't have any problems...
The batch file is started and the error message seems to be coming from Windows.
Can't figure out what the problem is though

Re: Questions about how the forums work
Does this forum allow to me to see all the unread postings since the last time I logged in? Don't think that's possible. You can view *all* unread topics by clicking 'view unread posts' at the top of the screen. Alternatively you can view a list of new posts since the last login, but that includes ...

Re: Sony ImageCount
but I was just hoping to get one of the versions of exiftool to work from PSu under Mac. Exiftool *does* work with PSu, but it's not used as a 'regular' external program. It can be used to read information from an image that PSu does not (yet) provide an interface for. This topic shows an example o...

That's correct. Only the font for the custom info can be changed.Preston B wrote:There is no entry for the file name line in the View menu pane. Therefore, I think it is not editable.

Re: Sony ImageCount
Trying to understand this. Do you mean that the external programs which I currently have in the icon bar, like Aperture, Capture One and Iridient all accept filenames on the command line? I have no idea since I don't use any of these programs. If they perform some sort of action using the thumbs yo...

Re: Sony ImageCount
It would be useful if it could be activated when marking an image in PSu, rather than having to exit, open the tool and then try to find the image which you had already located in PSu. That's exactly what the 'external programs' feature in PSu is used for. For this to work the external program has ...

Re: Sony ImageCount
Make sure that exiftool.exe is in the AppData folder (on Windows that is %localappdata%\IDimager Systems, Inc.\) before starting PSU. With PSU also work with the pyexiftoolgui application please? AFAIK this program is just a GUI for exiftool, and you still have to install exiftool itself. I can't s...

Re: Newbie question
Is there a way that IDimager automatically adds the path name to the image as a tag ? In addition to Vald's method, you can also search in folder view. With tab open showing the folder view, click on the 'magnifying glass' search icon and type your word in the green box that appears - image below. ...

No idea what's going wrong, but I would say it's an error that is worth reporting in Mantis: http://mantis.idimager.com/

Re: Face Regions Metadata and LR6
However, if I then tell LR6 to save metadata to the photo, it insists on writing out all the levels of the hierarchy as separate keywords into dc:subject, as well as preserving the lr:HierarchicalSubject entry. I don't see any way to turn off this behaviour, and unless I can do so, I cannot use LR6...

AFAIK the method Hert describes in http://forum.idimager.com/viewtopic.php ... 03#p109169 also works on the Mac (NB: it's the last post in that topic)

Re: Document Titles for Thumbnails
AFAIK you can't replace the filename by a different field.
You can add an extra line by activating 'custom thumbnail info' (use 'view' button to access this field) and add any field you like (use the arrow to the right of the line to access fields).

Re: Default Catalog File Location
By default PSu stores data in %localappdata%\IDimager Systems, Inc. (that's on Windows). You can change this by using the -a command line parameter. You can add this to the 'Target' entry of the PSu shortcut. For example, for my PSu test environment the Target for my PSu shortcut looks like this: "C...
