Re: Batch Time adjustment

Hi hert - here is the video showing this behavior... you'll even see what appears to an autosync before a rename that changes the date back... I'm confused! Thx again - Andy.

Re: Batch Time adjustment

Hert - I was also wondering about a command to only grab the date portion of Datetimeoriginal... %exif:DateTimeOriginal{length=10} doesn't seem to work - I don't need the time.. just the date portion. I am creating a video to show the above behavior... not sure if this is a bug so didn't want to rep...

Re: Batch Time adjustment

Funny - I am doing something very similar for a client but each photo needs to be adjusted individually... which leads me to a question about order of operations which may be helpful here as well. So - I am doing the following: 1 - Highlight an image, go to the Date Time Original field in the Detail...

Re: Where is the help for the scripter?

It does look as if almost anything would be possible, given a proper understanding. But I don't think there's enough documentation or examples (there are only 3 existing scripts, as far as I can see) to get me to the point of sufficient understanding to write a novel script. Oh well ... I'm now goi...

Re: GPS Coordinates

Just curious - has geosetter corrected the "issue" with how images are selected/opened in the software? I used to use Idi5 and Geosetter with a drag/drop from IDI to Geo. When I did this, it used to load ALL the photos from the folder instead of just the selected items from Idi - the selected items ...

Re: Delimiter choice

I agree ... you will find that most software does not know what to do with delimiters in keywords and just displays huge strings of words. In the end - as Hert suggets, using LR keywords or writing out the structure to another XMP field (I used to use the Supplemental keywords) is a better approach.

Re: Compacting DB

Perhaps compacting the database should be an option box that pops up every 30 days when you close Idimager? Kinda like the LR backup reminder box? - Andy.

Re: I actually like this program...

I would not wish the import sessions to be modified... I use them as a quick way to view images that were downloaded together... even months later! You can delete these if you wish once you complete the labeling process... also, you filter on not having catalog labels with just the import session as...

Re: Photo Supreme wins my vote

I have always been a huge champion for an "easier" way for me to get my "hooks" into the code behind Idimager... the Idi scripter was always a very powerful tool.. but the documentation and lack of API made is nearly impossible to understand when to use Method/function A over B and how to get the be...

Re: Thumbnails view customization

Thx Mike - I should have mentioned that the whole thing can be pasted into the single line of the custom thumb info.. but probably should be broken up a bit. I really do hope the custom thumb "editor" is revised in the future - having an editor window makes writing script code so much easier... righ...

Re: Thumbnails view customization

Hi Tom - you can customize the thumbnail view (though what you report does appear to be a bug). If you click the View Button in the top right corner of the screen, you will then see an option to "show custom thumb info". Some time during beta, I (with Hert's help of course) created the following scr...
