Google API's ??

Is it just me or are others affected, my API key seems to have run out; "Your free trial is over, but your Google Cloud Platform journey doesn't have to be. To restore your services, upgrade by 4 August 2019." Is the error message when I log in to the console to see why maps etc are failing. I must ...

Re: Facial recognition: a new option

Hopefully you will also be GDPR registered etc. a picture on its own including faces MAY be considered as personal information depending on how its used, but once tagged with a Name then it is ALWAYS personal information, as I understand the ICO explanations! But I do agree it would be a nice option...

Re: Importing Not Completing since I upgraded to D850

I doubt that its the camera or file format that is giving the problem, have you tried compacting the databases and doing a backup as well ? This checks the databases for any errors or problems, I have found that when the system slows down a lot its cause is often database problems, hence frequent ba...

Re: can't connect to database after Windows Update

Is there a reason (time/duplication ?) for ICS Reading not to be on by default, I have it being written (as well as hierarchical) and had assumed without checking that it would also be read and now having seen the above see that it it is an option ? I frequently do a lot of labelling when out on a j...

Re: C1 v12 Edits & PSu v4.3 display

As far as I am aware its the nature of all RAW "editors" remember its only altering the metadata to be applied to the sensor data in order to create the image, often a preview JPG is included in the raw file package to allow preview of the the otherwise raw sensor data.

Re: Viewing / grouping image bursts.

Indeed, this is a method I have been using but manually finding the start and end of the burst images is the fiddly bit, it takes an inordinate amount of time inspecting the times which is where an automated system for doing the grouping comes in.

Viewing / grouping image bursts.

I wonder if there are many of us here who have a need to view images that occur in Burst mode ? I do a quite a bit of event photography and often I use Continuous mode shooting on the cameras to generate a burst of images around points of action when interesting events might occur. However when it c...

Re: google maps for "development purposes only"

Have you enabled all the required API's, there are several, I don't have the list here at present but I suspect you need the Gecode etc.
