Re: Keyboard Shortcuts

To change a thumbnail color label on a Mac, the manual says to use the Command key and a number key 1 through 5. This does not work. But if I use the Control key instead of the Command key, it does work. That is why I'm saying the manual is wrong.

Re: Changing order of Collections within a Portfolio

Actually, I've been in the habit of compacting and backing up several times a day for some time, because I'm currently making massive changes to the file locations, deletions, labels and everything else. PSU is being given a real thrashing!

Re: Changing order of Collections within a Portfolio

Can you try to run the script below with Tools->Scripter and then try ordering the collections again: OK Hert, I've given it a 'try'... 17:03 Compact Database & Thumbnails. 17:11 Backup Database & Thumbnails. 17:14 Incremental backup of system disk using CCC incase image files get zapped. 17:26 Beg...

Re: Changing order of Collections within a Portfolio

Here's an extract from the hierarchical collection structure I'm trying to maintain. For example, its impossible to move #06 up the list to make it appear above #06 Sources. I'm having exactly the same problem within all the other collections. In addition, its also impossible to move the portfolios ...

Keyboard Shortcuts

I've just spent half an hour trying to assign a color label to an image. It turns out the manual is wrong. Hasn't anyone noticed this since its publication, or am I the only Mac user daft enough to trust my entire image collection to Photo Supreme? On a Mac the correct shortcuts to change an image c...

Re: Changing order of Collections within a Portfolio

If by the 'default collection' you mean the first collection I created, I don't think that will help me. I've added scores of collection since then and I don't remember which was the first. Does this mean I'll have to delete all the collections and start again? I guess the reason you haven't been ab...

Re: Changing order of Collections within a Portfolio

Added to Mantis... Its now December 2017 and it appears this problem hasn't been resolved. I'm on macOS 10.13.2, trying to reorder collections within a portfolio. The behaviour is erratic and I'm unable to get the collection into a preferred order. Perhaps bugs like this, and many other bugs, are be...

Re: Pixelmator Pro

It turns out that a PXD file is infact an application package. Right clicking reveals the contents (NB this is a Mac thing). The Quicklook folder contains 3 small TIFF files which do appear appear in PSU's Import Browser - but only in black. Clearly, this is of no use whatsoever. I didn't notice the...

If you go to Tools -> Preferences -> File Handling, you can add the .pxd extension to those you want PSU to handle.
I think I just said that...

Pixelmator Pro

I've added the file extension .pxd to File Handling and Other Settings. I know I've done this correctly, because I've also implemented Photoshop CC 2018, Affinity Photo, Affinity Design, Exif editor, Preview and TerraRay, and they all work as expected. However, none of the Pixelmator Pro .pxd files ...

Re: Changing the File Extension

Thanks sanphotogn, but that's exactly what doesn't work on a Mac. Your example would appear as N2016F3107.nef.NEF.

Re: Changing the File Extension

The new (suggested) file name is L1000621.dng.DNG. I'm beginning to think this yet another issue that is Mac specific. Its often the case with multi platform software. Windows always seems to get priority support.

Re: Changing the File Extension

DirkS - Just tried your code, but it doesn't work as expected. Example: L1000621.DNG changes to L1000621.dng.DNG As I said, I cannot find a way to extract just the filename without the extension. I've tried all the Left, Mid and Right variants, but these can't be used when selecting multiple files w...

2605 or 2606 ?

My current build is 3.3.0.2605, but I think the latest build is 2606. Asking PSU to check for updates says I have the latest version. In ~/Library/IDimager Systems, Inc./ there is a file called IDimagerSU_mac_webUpdate.pkg. I've no idea when or how that appeared or if I'm supposed to manually execut...

Thanks DirkS. You've encouraged me to learn a little about scripting.
